"Of all the hotels I have stayed in throughout Asia (and there have been many as I love to travel) Four Points Sheraton Bintan staff were by far the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered. From concierge, to reception check in, through to room attendants, pool staff, restaurant and cafe staff, everyone met me with a smile and a warm greeting. I stayed 7 nights and there was not one exception the whole stay that didn't ensure i felt welcomed and appreciated. The room, restaurants, open areas and grounds were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The buffet breakfast and lunch a wonderful blend of Indonesian, Korean, Japanese and western foods. All very fresh and beautifully prepared. I can't recommend a stay at this hotel enough."

"1. Well-equipped apartment. Safe, ironing equipment, umbrella, beach bag, crockery, cutleries, pot and pan and best of all – extremely comfortable bed and pillows and new air-conditioners! 2. Clean and modern interior. A few small flying insects that got into the room (inevitable due to the surrounding garden/forests and opening of doors) but thankfully, didn’t encounter any mosquitoes or ants in the apartment – what a relief! Fogging in the common areas is done twice a week – Tues and Thur late nights. Didn’t detect any unpleasant drainage smell in the toilet/shower so I’m perfectly happy with my assigned Queen Suite apartment! 3. Balcony views: (i) Block 1 is beach front apartments with full sea view (ii) Block 2 is made up of two sections: one section faces the Garden and the other section faces the Car-park (iii) Blocks 3 and 4 have either (i) Garden view - with partial sea view on highest floor) OR, (ii) Forest view – with partial sea view too on highest floor). (iv) Block 5 on the top floors have distant sea view (this block is on a slope and furthest from the reception and pool) 4. Friendly staff. My requests were attended to swiftly. 5. Private beach (shared among the 3 resorts there) is reasonably clean with fairly clear sea (there’re jelly fish warning signages). 6. Pool at Cassia is smaller but newer and cleaner than at Angsana. A new pool bar construction is currently being carried out in front of Cassia’s pool and the hoarding blocks the beautiful sea view from the infinity pool until mid Nov – what a pity! 7. Adequate breakfast spread but houseflies and birds were spotted in the restaurant – made me worry about the hygiene level 8. Various English movie channels but screen resolution was poor and images often lagged for a few seconds – makes the movie watching experience tiresome and annoying. Only the International news and Singapore channels did not suffer from lags/poor image quality 9. Some of the building and lift direction signs in the different apartment blocks are puzzling and confusing – the signs are probably very clear ONLY to the people who planned/designed them - certainly NOT easily understood by foreign guests! You need to get into the correct lifts in different buildings to reach the blocks furthest from the reception (to avoid climbing any stairs or slopes eg blocks 4 and 5). I only figured out the various sheltered linkways/correct lifts after a few trial and errors, lol! 10. Credit card is needed for room deposit during check in even if room cost was already paid in advance during online booking: 4 Million Indonesian Rupiah per apartment per night"

"Thank you Doulos Phos Hotel, for the unforgettable experience! My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay on your ship. From the moment we arrived, we felt a warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was abundant with food that reminded us of home in the Philippines, something we’ve really missed. The receptionists were very hospitable and guided us well on what to do during our stay. The pool was unique and aesthetic, and what amazed us most was the ship’s rich history, especially how it has touched many lives through charity. A special thanks also to the captain who gave us a tour of the ship (I even wondered if he’s a real captain!) On our last day, despite the bad weather, and although our check-out was scheduled for 12:00 PM, our ferry departure was not until 6:45 PM. The reception staff graciously allowed us to remain in our room until 5:00 PM. This thoughtful gesture meant a great deal to us and made us feel valued and cared for. Overall, our experience exceeded expectations. We are grateful to all the staff of Doulos Phos Hotel for their kindness and professionalism. "As a first time solo traveler, I would say I did not have anything planned the moment I reached the resort. But my goal for this trip was mainly a getaway from everyday city life and it did reach my purpose. There are activities that can be in and around the resort. First time tried kayaking and archery. All the staffs were super friendly. From reception, activities, restaurant staff until check out. I went during an off peak season, so even passing by a staff at the lobby of the Lotus Cafe, I was shocked that I was greeted by the staff with my name."

"Just be aware of that you will need to pay ALOT more coming here. The hotel is a part of gigantic resorts and shares amenities with other hotels that we were not aware. That means: kids clubs, bars and restaurant are all far that you need to take a shuttle only available every 30m. They charge extra for everything: buggy is for rent only, kids clubs is charged by hours, bowling voucher is supposed to be free but that voucher is only for one person and you need to pay for shoes, socks your friends. Even Ping Pong table needs to pay. Not recommended and don’t think we will come back"

"Overall experience was great. However was a little disappointed on the day of check-in, as I’ve specified that I required a connecting room (travelling with young kids + helper). I’ve previously enquired if I should book 1x twin and 1x king or the booking type doesn’t matter as long as I indicated. I was told the latter so I book 2x king instead and indicated my preference of connecting room. Well… i was told connecting room is subjected to availability. What upset me was, I think the hotel doesn’t try to accommodate and pre-arranged. Furthermore I was informed “I booked 2x king instead of 1x Twin and 1x King”. It was a mad logistic headache for me and my family as it’s difficult to settle down with 3 young kids (1 is infant) + helper sleeping arrangement. Hope the management can really consider customer preference and accommodate."

"Pros: Great location which just 5 min from Sebong terminal and hotel provided complimentary shuttle service to hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. All the queries and request was contact through WhatsApp which is convenient and responsive (maybe not the peak season). We have a lot of fun at Treasure Bay and some free activities provided. We enjoyed 20% discount on the activities as the guest of Anmon. The pool is sea salt water and it is pretty clean as well. The room is pretty interesting and it is a great experience to stay inside a tent! Cons: There is moldy smell in the room. Because it is a tent, hence soundproof is poor as we can hear the music from hotel lobby (but it does not affect our sleep LoL we still had a good slept). Should clean up the sky window in the room."

"Great villa!! I’ve got the deluxe one for 2 pax, and it’s HUUUUUGE! Loved the service too. Tbh I texted them the night before about transport from the ferry the replied me in no more than 10 mins. The best part was I didn’t realise that Indo time is 1 hour behind sg, it rly only hit me when we reached bintan and my iphone time changed LOL. BUT — after communicating with them while aligning the ferry, the pick up was already there by the time we were done picking up our luggage! Looooooved the service, we genuinely stayed in the villa most of the time. And not sure why people are complaining about the food — I found it pretty good."

"Hotel was clean and located in the Lagoi resort area which is where we wanted to be, however the hotel seems old, the gym was a sad excuse with just dumbbells, order food at the rooftop cafe, quiet flavourless, service was good despite the hotel being empty but was still asked to check in at 3pm or pay IDR200k luckily this was not much of an issue as we had activities arranged, that said the room was comfortable enough however the AC stopped working the last night I was there and didn’t come on again causing me to lose sleep."
