Stayed 2 nights in room 5, very well appointed room, self serve buffet breakfast works well and in room fridge with fresh milk is great. Staff all extremely helpful and excellent food. Few small gripes; bathroom light on a sensor with no switch - so comes on when you enter whether you want it or not, not good in middle of night. External window frames all rotten & falling apart, bathroom not openable - scheduled for replacement apparently. Lovely room but too many ornaments/clutter for us ! All relatively small stuff & would definitely stay again.

Great find. Room was well appointed, lovely decor. Very comfy bed and tea and coffee facilities in the room of an excellent standard. Breakfast was self service, collecting a little basket of goodies to then keep in our room and fridge for the morning. Great selection of pastries, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. Pub had a great atmosphere. Live music on Friday night. Good selection of beers, gins and wines. Quick and polite service. Locals very friendly. Restaurant had a good menu and the food was served quickly and was delicious. Staff were brilliant. Highly recommend.

Wonderful overnight stay. Very clean and well equipped. The breakfast station was very well resourced with lots of choice. Lunch in the pub was great too! Only gripe-the shower wasn’t too warm! However, the weather was so it didn’t matter to us… would do in the cooler months though.

Partly my own fault, I should have read the other reviews. They advertise Netflix in your room, but you need to login with your own account, remembering it’s not so hard to logout of Netflix, also the Wi-Fi is spotty at best. As for the breakfast, they described it is fantastic, but in reality it is brown paper bags filled with cold dry pastry and a mixer Britvic OJ from behind the bar. I wish I had stayed else where at half the cost. It is a shame, because the room is comfortable and clean, lovely en-suit and shower, and the restaurant attached is very good, a little limited but still enjoyable food

At just over £150 per night for two, in a small market town, we were looking forward to luxury. We got that in the shower. But the mattress on the super king bed tilted us outward, the fridge was at such an angle that everything fell out, the paintwork on the window frames is well overdue renewal and the cold breakfast offerings were dry and unappealing. If you want a heavy furry throw, lots of cushions and a record turntable this is absolutely the place for you.

Great room, ( secondary glazing so riad noise not really noticeable) fridge has milk, orange juice. Smart TV ( will need your log in for netflix) continental breakfast - help yourself on way to your room, Cereals, porridge, granola, muffins, croissants ( in sellophane so not dry) yoghurt etc. Kettle in room with tea and coffee bags. Shower nice and clean with shampoo etc supplied. Had a meal in restaurant which was lovely,. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Just word of warning, the access to rooms are via a metal fire escape and walkway. Probably not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Warm friendly welcome in a busy pub. Room was spacious and nicely decorated, had everything we needed. Biscuits in the room we assume we’re homemade! Nice touch! Breakfast was good, restaurant was good.. can’t complain. We’re looking forward to coming back
