Absolutely fantastic experience. Booked 34 people into The Artisan restaurant on the Mezzanine for my daughter’s 50th birthday. The food was AMAZING! The very best fillet steak I’ve ever had. The prawn and chorizo starter went down a real treat and the raspberry crème brûlée fantastic. Service was exceptional, in the restaurant, the bar and the Hotel. Rooms are suites and appointed with the best beds and bedding, lounge with leather sofa, bathroom had both a bath and a shower. A big thank you to David Haigh, Warren Marsh and all the staff who made sure everything ran smoothly. Oh, and the quality of the produce at breakfast time was simply the best!

Myself and Sister stayed a night to celebrate her birthday. What a lovely place to stay. The staff are all very friendly on reception, the bar staff really chatty and welcoming and the service at dinner was fantastic. The food was amazing and great value for money. Same applied to breakfast, fantastic choices and big portions. Warren is a lovely people person and nothing too much trouble for him, but Courtney who you might see at any point during your visit, breakfast, functions etc … she is exceptional at her job, nothing too much trouble and super friendly- she is a huge credit to the hotel as are your other members of staff we came into contact with on our stay. Highly recommended and the decor and environment is stylish and welcoming. We even managed a swim! Highly impressed with the temperature of the water and steam room. The rooms were also nice and warm making it super cosy. Thank you, our stay was fabulous!

Room was great space wise, however, I can’t believe any hotel would have such shabby old mattresses and pillows with NO mattress or pillow protectors ?!? Didn’t even have a fitted sheet on the mattress just a flat sheet that wasn’t even put on properly. In fact it’s questionable as to wether the bedding was even clean. I didn’t like to look too hard to be honest! Was going to have a soak in bath but that too was grubby. The food in Artizan restaurant was just ok. I had the cheese & onion pie which was very dry and mostly onion. Beans where lovely though. Breakfast was nice, coffee machines would be better as the jugs of coffee where weak and not very hot. I must however say all staff where friendly , one in particular was very attentive and went above & beyond to make us welcome , big Thankyou to Courtney! X

Attended a wedding here and we booked the last room on arrival. The room was a twin room and I must say we were impressed with the layout. We had a separate bedroom and large lounge and good size bathroom with a small terrace area outside. Everything was good about the room, no complaints. It is not a top class hotel but adequate and as expected drinks are expensive, over £6 for a pint of peroni. The breakfast was really nice, buffet style with plenty of choice. The wedding itself went to plan but in our opinion the wedding coordinator should have been a lot more attentive and kept guests informed of everything going on which he didn't do, the table cloths were a velour kind of material and bits were sticking to our clothes, underneath was a crisp white cloth, surely this should have been the other way round !!! The staff serving the meals were miserable except for the odd one and need training in etiquette on how to serve. But overall the night went smoothly and we had a good night sleep. Probably a 3 star establishment in our opinion.

The hotel itself was really lovely. Our room was gorgeous with its separate living area and cute little balcony. It is a little run down in parts, such as light switches falling off/locks etc and the room was cold. The service is super slow too. Lovely area and location though.

We booked & paid for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast with wowcher but on paying in full the hotel informed us they would only give us dinner on one night not 2 I wasnt happy with this so contacted wowcher who forwarded a message from the general manager who replied quote"Its thier fault'so rather than loose our money we chose to check inn. We did check inn with a frosty receptionist the room & building were better than expected so we had a couple of drinks in there bar which again was quite nice then went to our room to get ready for our meal . Around 17.20 we received a message asking us to come to reception on arriving at reception I was rudely informed wowcher had removed thier advert & refused to pay them for miss selling there products & was told I would have to pay again I refused to pay again as I had already paid in full they were not happy & asked to see ALL MY EMAILS!! Which I refused to share my personal emails.I spoke to the manager who again asked & expected ME to pay a second time again I refused. I was told we could stay the night as I was unable to drive after having a couple of drinks but we would have to leave in the morning. We have NEVER been treated in such a disgusting manner by unprofessional management advertising none existant offers which according to previous reviews has happened before. There are more proffesional run hotels to stay in the area AVOID THIS HOTEL if you would like to enjoy your stay.

Great value suite, booked with ********* members' prices. Only stayed for one night but was a good base. Room was tired/dated but clean and well equipped. Hotel had multiple functions on but rooms well located / sound proofed so we were not disturbed.

Great hotel. Just off a busy road but still amazingly quiet and in pleasant surroundings. Big car park. Lovely food. Good service in restaurant. Easy check in. Lovely spa. Pool nice but I didn’t like the sharp edges at the end because as a front crawl swimmer I couldn’t see exactly where the edges were and was consequently concerned about bashing my head on them! Steam room and sauna great.

Affordable Luxury. Absolutely awesome Hotel. The support when booking was incredible and continued throughout our stay. The Hotel is in a perfectly lovely setting with grounds and outdoor areas pristinely kept. Our “suite” was sumptuously appointed and perfectly clean. A huge comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom and comfortable lounge overlooking the gardens. Breakfast and Dinner were a gastronomic treat in a welcoming restaurant. Attentive, friendly staff made the experience a joy and the food presented to us was excellent, good quality and tasty. The whole experience was a relaxing, comfortable joy and amazing value. I am happy to recommend, and eagerly wait our return.
