It has now been almost five months since we were initially promised a refund for our honeymoon booking at Bilene Mukumbura Lodge, and we have yet to receive any part of it, nor have we been given any updates on the situation. While I’ve been understanding of the current unrest in Mozambique, what’s increasingly frustrating is that after we were initially informed that the banks were frozen, preventing refunds, I’m still seeing other tourists visiting the lodge. This leads me to question how they are able to process transactions for new guests but not for refunding us. I hope you can appreciate the difficulty this situation has caused, I have to resort to complaining online since I’ve sent emails and called numerous times yet no one can tell me clearly when we will receive our refund. Hopefully I can get a clear update and response soon.

it is a wonderful, calm and amazing place to stay. Beautifull views and restaurant. The food is good and the rooms (cabana) they are so beautiful. Thet also have a wonderful swimming for all the guests

It was good, the only thing I saw, is the beach where people especially children having difficulties to pass because there way has barrier. That is not good for the social and environment. So if possible this must be corrected.

We stayed at Mukumbura as a couple and loved the experience. We were very well received, the service was very good, the food was very good, the place was very good, the rooms were clean and well organised, in conclusion, we recommend it!!! Our thanks go to all the staff, especially Vidigal and Marcelle, who were very kind to us. Suggestion to improve: Could you consider a buffet for breakfast? Thank you

Very relaxing place, with a beautiful view, staff were very friendly and with a really good facilities to enjoy the stay. The food was very tasty, service was quick and at the moment, I have to say that the staff were remarkably friendly and always inclined to help. It was quite an unforgettable experience for our family!

Wonderful place and staff and management. Difficult to get hold of manager Mr Brian but once you get him you are in caring hands. Time and money well spent, highly recommendable place. Comfortable premises and very secure and good food.

A beautiful place with very friendly and professional service. A paradise in the 21th century, The Lodge, in addition to being beautiful, is very comfortable and has all the conditions to spend days without leaving there, as they provide different activities for customers. We were able to see whales and sea turtles.

Its was paradise from home!! Staff friendly and you feel part of the Mukumbura team. Excellent service Good and tasty portions, chef know what he is doing! All around there is enough excursions to keep you busy.
