We had a very comfortable stay in Hotel Carlton. It’s my third time to stay there. The location is fantastic. The whole experience is special. The rooms are very spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Tea & coffee making facilities in the room are very much appreciated. The little bar is nice for a nightcap after a night out. I’ll certainly stay again

The suite I stayed in, the room was large, the view was good, and there was a garage in the ground. Maybe the room is not new enough, but it is well maintained. Next to the park, walk to the Basque Museum for 5 minutes and Guggenheim for 10 minutes. I recommend.

Stayed at this wonderful little hotel for 3 nights over the weekend. As a budget hotel, don't expect unbridled luxury, because you'll be disappointed. What you'll get is a clean, compact and functional room, excellent breakfasts, and reception staff that are exceptionally efficient, friendly and helpful, and all speak English to a high standard. Located next to the bullring, it's a short walk to all the major sights that the beautiful city of mk Bilbao has to offer. I will definitely be returning to Bilbao, and this gem of a hotel.

Location is about 15 to 20 minutes from the center. I was a little worried about security as it was far from the center, but there was nothing in particular. It may be better not to be too late for a woman alone. The room was large and clean and easy to spend. Towels, hair dryers and hair body wash are provided. Since it is not separated as a shower room, I am prepared to be bishabisha in that area. There is a TV, but there is no refrigerator. The bed was too soft and not too hard and I was easy to sleep ◎ The response of the front desk was also good!

I enjoyed my stay here, everything was super clean and private feeling. The downstairs area was nice, and there were activities on each night. The only thing I'd say is it would be nice to have bathrooms outside of the rooms as well on each floor in case you need to use the shower etc at the same time as someone in your room. It also felt like you were intruding in their space if you went into the bathroom area when someone else was in there (the shower, toilet, and mirror/sink were all really close together). Saying that, I'd still stay again!

Old Town
We stayed four nights in a NYX Suite in the middle of August. This hotel has an excellent location at the entrance to the old Town. The Renfe train station to Madrid and Barcelona is about 6 minutes walking across the bridge right in front of the hotel. This bridge also takes you to the major shopping street of Bilbao as well. The Guggenheim is a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the river and around the corner you'll find the Plaza Barria with some of the best pinxto bars in the Basque country. The metro station that will take you right to the intermodal bus station is a short 2 minute walk away. The suite was compact with only a double bed, but the bathroom was roomy and the shower easily fit two. Storage was minimal, but there was a safe, mini fridge, iron and ironing board. The coffee maker was an imitation Nespresso, but the pods were Lavazza. The balcony had a fantastic 270 degree view of the old Town and the newer city across the river. A negative note: Almost every evening we came home to discover a new invasion of ants crossing our room, slipping under the door and parading down the hall.

lovely experience at the Autograph, staff was really friendly and the location was perfect - you could walk to many places. there are food available in the late night in the vicinity as well. the rooftop bar has a great view for an afternoon cerveza! room was comfortable and had sufficient space for 2 person.
