Super 8 by Wyndham Big Timber

The room was dark, dusty, and downright dingy from the moment I walked in. The bed was in such terrible shape it felt like trying to sleep on a horse with a sag in its back—completely unsupportive and impossible to rest on comfortably. I’ve honestly had better accommodations in a flea bag hotel in NYC, and that’s saying something. Adding to the discomfort, the hotel sits about 100 yards from active railroad tracks, with trains passing by at all hours. The noise and vibration made it feel like I was sleeping next to the tracks, not in a hotel room. While showering, I happened to glance up and noticed significant staining on the bathroom ceiling. I couldn’t say for certain if it was mold, but it was concerning enough to make me question the cleanliness and safety of the space. The shower head was a hand held wand which was zip tied to the post it was mounted too. Dust was everywhere—on surfaces, in the air—it clearly hadn't been properly cleaned in quite some. Needed to run fan all night to filter air and make noise to drown out train passing to a decibel level that was decent.

way overpriced, 13" tvs in room cable skipped every 15 seconds, BROKEN COFFEE pot in lobby so no coffee on checkout or even for guests staying there had to walk to gas station to get more coffee.

Pleasantly surprised. I haven't stayed at a Super 8 in decades. Room 202 was updated. Clean especially for an older hotel. Staff was great. Operator error on TV and staff quickly helped us resolve it. The Wheat toast at breakfast was great. Homemade. Added this one to our places to stay for our next roadtrip

This Super 8 location was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The location looks like it has been recently renovated. The hallways and carpets were clean. 5 stars. I will return if given the opportunity when traveling through Montana.

Stopped in after spending a few too many miles on the road traveling on my HD. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, Had a great night's sleep in my comfortable and cool room.

There aren't many choices in Big Timber for lodging. I will definitely not stay here again. The water emits a strong sulphur smell that stays in the room. Using the water - at the sink, shower or toilet - causes the odor. Staff are well aware of this issue - it was explained to me that they use well water and there has been flooding --they are "working on it." Still, I was charged $180 to be sick with sinus pain and headache overnight from the smell. The hotel allows pets and I requested a quiet room without pets. Even though I was advised that the hotel was pretty empty, I was given a room fairly close to the lobby and was woken in the morning by barking outside my door. I like dogs, but do not need to be subject to barking from animals that I can't control. Breakfast is minimal - frosted flakes and cheerios and Jimmy Dean sandwiches. The hotel itself is modern. If you have to stay in Big Timber, ask first if the water still has a stench. Based on the price and the hotel not letting people know about the sulphur problem, I would not stay here again and would advise others to stay away.
