This property has some nice advantages, and some glaring disadvantages. If you stay here, you need to know exactly what you are getting into. First the good: 1. The rooms are huge, and laid out nicely. Our unit had a full kitchen and separate living area and bedroom. It was just my wife and I, but if we were with kids, this would have been really appreciated. 2. Location is convenient, just off the interstate, but not noisy. 3. What little interaction we had with staff was helpful and courteous. 4. Sheets were clean and the mattress, though obviously old, was adequately comfortable. Now the bad: 1. Our room was marginally neat and did NOT smell, but it was also not clean. There were signs everywhere that cleaning had not been thorough - Dust in the corners, on the furniture and counters. Hair in the shower. Visible signs that the bedroom carpet had not been vacuumed (lots of stains and even toenails!). 2. This property appeared to cater to workers in the area's oil drilling industry, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Just be prepared for a lot men (I did not see another female guest besides my wife), congregated outside their rooms sharing a smoke and a drink. I want to stress that everyone's behavior was great and we were never uncomfortable, but the man camp atmosphere may not be for everyone. 3. This is minor, but the lawn pictured in the image for the property is misleading. We thought this would be nice for walking our dog, but, in reality, this is a field of dirt and sticker burrs. Overall, this was by far not the worst place I have stayed in, but if I am going through Big Spring again, I will try to find an alternative.
