This is our second stay at Hotel Settles. It has become a regular stopping point for our annual trip from Dallas to Ruidoso. The renovations that have been done to restore this historic landmark are spectacular. Everything is modern while retaining the 100 year old charm of the hotel. If you have reason to stop over between Abilene and Odessa, I'd always recommend a night at the Hotel Settles. ....... There's absolutely nothing to do in Big Spring, so you can relax.

We are impressed with th common areas, especially the pool area. But we were disappointed with the room. It is tiny. Okay… it’s vintage. But the bedside table lamp didn’t work and there was trash in the closet. The lavatory is funky and nice but loud.

The Settles continues to be one of the finest historic hotels in West Texas, if not the entire state. The staff is friendly, the room rates are fair, and the chicken fried steak in the grill is magnificent.

Great historic hotel. Our room was small, but it was in the historic section. The restaurant is wonderful with super wait staff.
