The staff at Comfort Inn (Big Spring, TX) were incredible. The hotel and the amenities are 5-Star. We've stayed at Comfort Inn on previous trips because the location is perfect and conveniently near Starbucks, and several restaurants. Booking a room online is great for discount prices and checking out of the hotel is fast and easy.

GOOD PLACE TO STAY.

Check in was easy and great. However, there were many other issues. The pool was green, hot tub didn't have any water, went into fitness room and it stunk and was like a sauna - hot, muggy and a/c did not work. Not to mention the room we were in had knats AND mesquitos in it! I woke up to check on my 8 month old to find 3 mesquistos feasting on her. I had to put the baby mesquito repellant on her just to keep them off...and I didn't sleep well because I kept getting up to check on her to ensure her blood wasn't being ****** dry. Our room door wouldn't shut right - we had to forcefully push the door just to get it to latch/lock. Breakfast tasted like it was left overs from day before and eggs were tough and rubbery. Mentioning bugs...there was also honey bees in the breakfast lobby area that kepts trying to get on us and our food. The big windows in the lobby was full of alive and dead bees. I have never stayed in such a run down hotel that was same pricing at the other nice ones I've stayed in. Very disappointed and we will NOT be staying at this hotel ever again.

The highway is noisy if your room faces it.
Did not like the plastic covers on the mattresses.
Shower needed some help.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Decent breakfast. Hotel itself was quiet.

Bad bad bad
The AC was terrible. The room was alternately hot and cold and consistently very humid. The carpet was so dirty it turned everything black that we set on it. The bathroom was moldy.

The room was decent but the water was dirty. After a long day of moving, just wanted a shower and bed. But the water was yellow. The hallways are hot.

Could do better
The curtains were off the rod, the tv never worked, the plaster on the bathroom wall was chipped, the rug felt oily.
