"It is a B&B run by ********* and speaks Chinese. Dinner and breakfast are charged separately. Dinner is 4,500 yen and breakfast is 1,500 yen. I went there once in autumn and winter, and the food has not changed. If you are staying consecutively or going there for the second time, it is recommended to inform the owner in advance, and they will update some dishes for you. The room is a bit old and the public bathroom on the first floor is not open. If you have a car at night, it’s very convenient to go to Shinei-no-oka to watch the stars!"
"Really great experience! Breakfast have lots of choice of local food. Welcoming snacks included.
Close to the Biei station and Bus station to blue pond with just within 5 mins walk. Connect to a souvenir shop with delicious curry bread!
Have free photo printing service all by yourself but please refrain from abusing. I hope this service could keep along!"
"The location is in a quiet mountain. My son said that fairies would come out. The cleanliness, service, and facilities were really the best. It looks old, but it is clean and the facilities look good. The owner is very kind. I plan to visit again."
"The house is located on a high floor. Makes a very beautiful view The nearest convenience store is 4.5 kilometers away. There is also a washing and drying machine.
Disadvantages There are 1 shower room. There are 2 toilets.
The dish is oily plastic, it's hard to wash out"
"This is my second time staying in this B&B. I stayed in this B&B for the first time in 2017/10. It was very amazing. The whole B&B is made of wood, and the whole room exudes the fragrance of logs.
In addition to being very talkative, the owner of the B&B is also admirable for his thoughtfulness in preparing the meals.
The whole B&B exudes a warm atmosphere, making people feel like they are home~~
So this time I brought my friends to Biei for two nights, which was great.
I highly recommend this hotel to friends who come to Biei."
"Very clean hotel. The room is very mini. Facilities are complete. But the space with children is too small to be suitable. The boss is very good to take the initiative to help guide the way. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby"
"It was a very nice comfortable inn. Thank you very much for introducing wonderful travel spots that the host is enthusiastic and cooperates quickly even if there is something unknown. I will stay again if I have a chance. (I'm sorry to comment in poor Japanese)"
"Very good homestay, the room is very beautiful, the facilities are very complete, the environment is particularly good, but also provide snowmobiles, the owner of the homestay is very polite, also introduce the facilities in the room, it is recommended to charter a car to arrive, there are no taxis and restaurants nearby, I booked when I filled in two big and one small, As a result, Trip.com I reported two adults. Fortunately, the owner of the hotel was better to talk and didn't let us make up the money. It made us very embarrassed. Next time we went to Meiqi, we would still stay at a homestay."
"A Convenient and Comfortable Retreat
There are 4 units in this building. One parking slot per unit is provided at the corner near unit 101.
This apartment offers a truly practical and comfortable base for exploring the area. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the basic utensils and cutlery for easy meal prep, and the welcome inclusion of instant slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. The microwave was also super handy for quick snacks and reheats.
Comfort is well-managed with one air-conditioner that kept the unit at a pleasant temperature throughout our stay. The washing machine was a huge plus, and we found the designated drying area right above it in the toilet very efficient. The separate dining table was also a nice touch, providing a comfortable space for meals. 2 dryers are outside the building.
With two double beds, this unit is well-suited for small groups or families. We also enjoyed being able to link our Netflix account to the TV, which was great for unwinding in the evenings
.
Things to Note About the Location
The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful atmosphere. While there aren't many eateries directly nearby, there are two convenience stores within easy reach. Do keep in mind that local supermarkets tend to close around 7 PM, so plan accordingly for groceries.
We found the area to be quite pleasant for getting around, with not many cars on the road. This makes it particularly fun to explore the town by bicycle, and there are several bicycle rental stores available if you're keen to pedal around."
"Very beautiful accommodation environment, the master's intention can be seen in the details. The room was clean and tidy, the breakfast was Western-style, and Hokkaido milk was delicious. Just beside the Ken&Mary tree, walk to the Meilong Station for 30 minutes, take a taxi for 970 yen, and also fight for the first stop on the road. Staying for two days, the first day happened to have a navel offering in Furano, so I rushed to Furano. After the event, I took the last JR car back to the United States. Before the departure, ask the landlord about how to call a taxi at night. The landlord told us that if there is no car, you can call Mr. Fang to drive to pick up. Unexpectedly, after leaving the station at night, there are still many taxis waiting outside the station, which is very pleasant. On the last day, take a taxi to Asahikawa Airport and the fare is 3,130 yen, which is acceptable."

Great
Qqls76It is a B&B run by a couple. It is clean and tidy. There is a bathroom in the room, but you have to go to the first floor to take a bath. The Western breakfast is good. It is about 3 kilometers away from Biei Station. When you arrive at Biei Station, call the landlord and he will come to pick you up. It will also be delivered to the station at some time.
Very good experience, recommended.
CCeci ChoOne of the best onsen I must say. It’s very very near Shirahige Falls about 5 minutes walk in thick snow. But there aren’t any convenient shops or restaurants within reach. I guess you’ll need to drive. Limited public bus to reach the resort and it costs 660 yen. If you missed then you’ll need to get a taxi which cost about 8000 yen. We took the day trip around Biei which cost about 5500 per person to 8 locations around Biei and the last location you guess it right, it’s Shirahige fall. The tour bus driver very kind to drop us at the onsen resort
They served the best saisaki and breakfast. Be sure to get your stomach empty before you reach the premise for the dinner.
地地球旅人As always, the hot spring hotel is very convenient to nearby attractions. The rooms are spacious. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style with many varieties and delicious. The hotel staff are very friendly. There is a staircase in front of the hotel door. The staff will help carry the luggage into the hotel lobby. All the little bits of beauty add up to a good memory☺️
KKAM PUIThe room is a bit old without air conditioning, the door can be opened and the fan can be used to attract the air-conditioning in the hall, the tatami and the pillow are old, but the proprietress is very friendly, and the dinner is very good value for 200 yen.
아아이워나It's not terrible, but I wouldn't really consider it a 'value for money' hotel. I felt that the service and facilities didn't quite justify the price. The hairdryers in the public bath were so outdated that it took forever to dry my hair. When I asked for extra towels, they responded that 'not too many' were allowed, which was the first time I've encountered an onsen hotel being so stingy with their towels. For context, I've stayed at dozens of Japanese onsen hotels. I only used the onsen in the mornings and evenings, and at most, I asked for one extra towel per night – not dozens of times. So, their reluctant response felt quite stingy. By the way, this was the female staff member who assisted me on my check-in day. The next day, a male staff member readily provided a towel when I asked.
The food was delicious. However, for guests staying multiple consecutive nights, it would have been nice to have at least slightly different menu options each day. Having the exact same dishes for two consecutive days was a bit disappointing.
Would I go back? No. This isn't a place I'd visit a second time.
The onsen hot spring water itself was authentically excellent.
Also, some Japanese individuals tend to use casual speech ('banmal') when foreigners speak Japanese. However, hotels, being in the hospitality industry, typically avoid this. Yet, the staff here spoke to me in banmal. Normally, one would expect gratitude when a foreigner makes the effort to speak the local language, but to be addressed informally ('banmal')? Honestly, I found it quite upsetting. I've never experienced this at any other onsen hotel. While I can somewhat understand if it's a random passerby, for hotel staff in the hospitality business to use 'banmal' with a guest is simply unacceptable!
GGuest UserWe wanted to visit Shirogane, hence we chose the few hotels there. We settled on this one because of room availability and the guarantee that it was non-smoking. The hotel is old, but it's like all the other hotels in this area. We enjoyed the osen (especially the outdoor setting), which turned out to be free (as opposed to what was reflected on Trip.com website); we confirmed with the hotel before we arrived that this was indeed the case. Great that breakfast and dinner were included as there are very few other choices in this area.
KKobe FukaeThe hotel description did not capture the situation enough. I was confused due to lack of room pictures. They also posted several listing for different rooms under different hotel name section. But this room is perfect for us. The location is a bit far (if you are not used to walking) from the station but it is only around 7-9 minutes walking. The surrounding area is a quiet neighborhood. The building is new and very clean. It was also warm inside even when the weather forecast said -14 celcius outside. The japanese food they served was also very good. They provided free coffee/tea and water in common area. They also let us lent their microwave. The bathroom is only one but very clean and comfy. The room has its own mini fridge, ac, and tv. If you are wondering where to stay in Biei, I definitely recommend this place.
KKobe9090Can't contact the owner according to the phone number attached to the front of the room. Have to help yourself in finding a way to open the door. Fortunately, there is another group of Taiwanese tourists who can ask back to the agency itself who booked to explain the opening of the room door. By having to see that each booking leave will have a dog The number is there, which is the room number. And the key is hidden in a black box hanging on the door handle of that room. You have to open the cover and bring the key out and unlock the door by yourself to enter the room. (According to the picture) The room has a bed and a mattress enough to sleep 4 people, but in the bedroom there is no air conditioner. Only heater Must turn on the air conditioner from the living room through the bedroom again by opening the bedroom door. Not very cold, but enough to sleep in the room. The play room has a sofa, dining table, kitchen equipment, including electric stove, microwave, hood, sink, sink, dishes, spoons, dishwasher, washing machine, laundry detergent, and the bathroom has all the items. Including towels The room area is spacious, good, cleanliness, this accommodation is suitable for self-driving. It is far from Biei and Asahikawa downtown, there are gas stations and convenience stores about 1 kilometer away. You can park your car in front of the accommodation.
