You can enjoy the seclusion of the space, while also enjoying modern amenities to keep you comfortable and entertained.The Dome is an open, loft-like structure with no doors. In the main structure, there are three bedrooms (two queen & two twin beds). The beds are well hidden behind walls, so there is visual privacy for sleeping and changing, but when everyone is in their bed, you could easily have conversations with each other. One bedroom on the second floor has a curtain door that allows you total visual privacy. Be sure you're friendly with people you are booking with!The bathroom does have a proper door, a large two person shower, and a sunroom that gets nice and toasty when the sun is out, winter or summer.**HALF BATH currently being installed, should be complete by April/May 2023. The Chalet will also have the outhouse up and running by then!**There is a barn within a stones throw of the Dome that has recently been renovated. It has electricity and heat, but no running water. The basement will be locked and off limits to guests as this is where the batteries are that power the Dome and could be dangerous to those not properly trained.There is also a wood burning stove in the main dome structure that is off limits to guests due to safety precautions.I live in Boston, so you will check in and out yourself and I will be available remotely for you. I can be there within two hours for any emergencies or have many local friends and contractors who could assist with any immediate needs.The propane tank will always be full upon arrival, however, the solar energy cannot be controlled. In the summer when the sun is strong, you shouldn't have any issues with power. If you are staying in the winter you may need to be more conscientious of your power consumption especially if there are multiple cloudy/snowy days. If the Dome loses power, there is a generator that you can turn on that runs off of the propane tank.There are 120V outlets throughout the Dome that will power your personal devices, but we ask that you only use the appliances we supply for you and do not use or bring high-use appliances like electric tea kettles, crock pots, hair dryers, straighteners, irons, etc.The Dome Home is located in Kennebunkport, Maine. Kennebunkport is an amazing community with countless local shops, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, concert halls and local businesses featuring artists, farmers, and craftspeople. From the Dome, you are about 10 minutes from the Goose Rocks Beach and 15-20 minutes from downtown Kennebunkport, Kennebunk, Biddeford, Saco, and Cape Porpoise. About 30 minutes north is Portland and 30 minutes south is Kittery. The Dome is right in the middle of it all!Driving to the Dome from the North or South, use I-95 and you can get off at the Biddeford exit 32 or right before the Kennebunk service plaza at exit 25. It is about 1:45 minutes from Boston. You will need a car to get to the Dome and to go on fun adventures. There is a private dirt road for the property. In the winter if there is snow on the ground, having a vehicle with AWD is recommended. If you have a low-riding car, please be cautious when driving down the dirt path and try to avoid any holes that may scratch the bottom of your vehicle.The Dome has ample parking, we just ask that you try to stay on the dirt road. The Sealander House was built by the City's Mayor in 1926. This historical home is full of old world charm, huge rooms, huge windows and drenched in sunlight. It features hardwood floors, a working fireplace, pocket doors, French doors, a huge dining room, 2 modern kitchens, 2 gas grills, one on the back porch off the kitchen and one on the 2nd floor deck, inviting porches and decks, a beautiful cupola. Lots of privacy with established gardens. Across the Street from Clifford Park. An amazing home perfect for groups/celebrations. {What I am not interested in hosting drunken events with associated dangerousbehaviors like partying and vomiting on the roof, public urination and large numbers of attendees not accounted for in the reservation (12 guests listed and 60 are at the house) with associated destruction of my vintage house and property. This has only happened to me a couple of times but it's been heartbreaking. Not to mention my neighbors get upset. Most people are absolutely wonderful and are very kind and respectful to my property. I just want it to be clear to all since I have had this problem in the past. I have a Eufy security system at The Sealander House. There are 4 cameras and they are all external. They are facing the doors to the house, the front door, the back door, the 2nd floor deck door and the balcony door. They are not on all the time. They are triggered by motion. My favorite pics so far have been wildlife. When I do not have guests the house is empty. I do not live close by so I find this security helpful and reassuring. I hope you do too. The property has lots of establish trees and perennials and so so many birds. It feels like a bird sanctuary. I love this. You feel very private even though you are still in the city. It has a large front lawn and I have a fire pit on the front lawn. I have a large assortment of beach gear too for your use including a beach umbrella, beach buggy, beach chairs, beach toys including boogie boards, and beach towels. I really want my guests to have everything they need to have a great time. Have fun. A main house and two cottages ocean-front on historic Hills Beach. Walk ten steps over your patio, down to your private stairs, and you'll be on your private beach. There is a huge ground-level patio for cookouts and family fun. There are two decks, one with a farmer’s table for big dinners and the other on the second floor for relaxing. The ocean views are breathtaking.Outside: We renovated the patio in 2025 and it's really nice.... if I say so myself. More space to relax and unwind. It now has a fence along the sea wall providing safety for the little ones. Adirondack chairs dot the patio, along with two loungers and a patio table with chairs. Beach chairs are also provided, they are stored in the laundry room.Main House1st Floor: The open-concept kitchen and living room includes a dining table that seats six. A Full kitchen with plenty of storage and preparation space with an island is a vacation cook’s dream. There are three bar stools along the island for a fun hang without getting in the cook’s way. The living room includes a sectional couch, great for a cozy movie night. The 60" TV with an Apple TV (Netflix, Hulu, Max, Disney+, etc available).Off the living room, a large screened-in deck with a farm table that easily seats 8 and can fit up to 10. Star is great for the kiddos or a family. Malaga Cottage:Malaga was also renovated in 2025 completely. Now with a bigger bathroom and seating area. Malaga has a kitchenette area with a small fridge, microwave and prep area. The first bedroom, in Malaga, has a Queen-sized bed and the second a full-sized bed. There is another roll away cot available in Malaga. The cottage has a bathroom with a shower. Malaga can sleep 4.The “compound” has off street parking for 4 cars or potentially 5 with a little bit of tetris. What I love about this really unique setup is that people can have their own space while still vacationing together. Whether it’s is the kids together in the Star cottage or parents with children could stay in Malaga cottage while the grandparents stay in the main house there are options. During low tide you can walk to the surrounding islands and explore! This is a lovely home for families to make magical memories. Please no parties.
