Very good hotel

Spent 2 nights here for a short break, as we love Biarritz. It was our first visit to this hotel. It is centrally situated, making it an ideal base for exploring the town. We received a warm welcome at check-in and were delighted with our 3rd floor room. We booked a prestige room with a sea view, which was a good decision and well worth the money. The room was spacious and comfortable. Very good bed and bedding. The coffee machine was appreciated, as was the fridge stocked with complimentary soft drinks. These were topped up daily. The bathroom and separate toilet were spacious and well furnished with toiletries. Bath robes and slippers were provided. I especially loved the anti-fog mirror. The shower was powerful, with plenty of hot water. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, but did use the bar for a drink and a planche of charcuterie and cheeses, which were delicious. All staff were friendly and eager to help. I was surprised that although the hotel is classed as a monument, there is no information on its history in the rooms. To me, that is a selling point which should be well publicised. We had to check the internet for information on the background of the hotel, which is fascinating. It would be well worth printing off a page and leaving it in the rooms. Overall an excellent stay and we will definitely be returning.

Welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast with excellent choice and good value.Excellent beds. Attentive to details like fresh water every day of your stay. Crisp sheets and plenty of provisions. Delighted to recommend. Oh... And right opposite the Grande Plage!

Great customer service at this hotel Room was spot on We had a few problems with our car and the staff were very helpful Highly recommend and we will definitely be back next year Close to the beach and restaurants and bars - lovely cocktail bar just next door

Hotel is a perfect boutique hotel in a perfect location. Kept in fantastic condition. NESPRESSO machine was giving water instead of coffee and I let lovely person ( they’re ALL lovely so expect that as one of best things to happen on a trip ) and it was evening. Following afternoon come back to room and tthere is a new one there and they had filled it with water. I wasn’t expecting that. I only asked if they can check it etc. And cleaning personnel are so polite. They all greet you and wish you a good day. We lost a card ( long story ) and I asked one of them about it: we searched together and could not find it. We come back to room later and it was there!!!!! She found it ! They go over and above. In Dining room also. You know a hotel is managed well with service and people such as this. They were all awesome and I would not hesitate to stay here over and over.

Good location. Really poor check in experience - told room would be ready at 2pm but were sent away rather brusquely at 2pm with a “we will call you when it is ready”. That call was never made and we were left in reception waiting for over an hour without any acknowledgment. The room itself was fine save for an impossible to understand a/c set up and paper cups rather than glasses in the bathroom and with the coffee stuff - that feels a bit cheap for a hotel such as this. Charging €5 to hire a beach towel also felt a tad harsh. At our next hotel, they were more than happy to hand them out free of charge. We won’t be returning.

In its category, this is an outstanding hotel. What makes the difference is the brilliant staff who do whatever they can to ensure that the guests have a great stay. My congratulations to the manager for having put together such a great team. Oh, and by the way, marvelous location, right in the heart of Biarritz. M. Mitchell

Lovely hotel in great location. It’s a shame you cannot pre book parking but the receptionist was extremely helpful, found us a space and guided us in. She also upgraded our room. The room was very well appointed and had a side view to the sea. Coffee capsules provided plus tea bags (but no regular black tea) but only 2 milk jiggers. Why? Shower leaked on the floor as usual. Real downside to this hotel is the breakfast. For the 4 star status and cost I would expect a much bigger, better selection. But it was cramped with very little choice, particularly if you went later. Overall I do recommend this hotel for it’s lovely staff, location and aesthetics but I’d go elsewhere for breakfast.
