₹10,000+ Per Night for This? Deeply Disappointing and Not Taj Standard I stayed for two nights at Taj Lakefront Bhopal and, frankly, this was one of the most disappointing premium hotel experiences I have had — especially for a property charging around ₹10,000 per night and carrying the Taj name. The problems started at check-in. The room carpet was dirty, had visible garbage from a previous guest, multiple stains, and even a hole in it — shocking for a luxury hotel. There was no dustbin inside the room (only a small one inside the toilet area), which felt like a basic oversight for guest convenience. The bathroom drain was clogged, the toilet water kept leaking continuously, and the room telephone was not working, forcing me to physically go near the lift/reception area just to request basics like water bottles. The restaurant experience was equally poor. Tables, seating, and surrounding areas had visible stains and poor upkeep. During breakfast, a simple plain dosa took an unreasonable amount of time despite buffet service. At lunch, the noodles served were overcooked, dry, and excessively oily. I specifically requested fresh noodles and informed the restaurant reception staff, but the request seemed forgotten for a very long time, with little concern or follow-up. More disappointing than the physical issues was the complete lack of ownership and attentiveness from staff. Service felt indifferent, undertrained, and possibly understaffed for a property of this scale. Guests paying premium prices expect cleanliness, responsiveness, and care — basic hospitality standards, not excuses. This simply did not feel like a Taj experience. A property like this risks damaging the trust and reputation associated with the Taj brand if such basic standards are allowed to slip. I have photographs and videos documenting all of the above.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Machan, Taj Bhopal. The hospitality was exceptional, and every moment of our visit felt truly special. A heartfelt thank you to Bimla for beautifully decorating our table for my birthday and making the celebration so memorable. Special appreciation to Shashtika, Bimla, and Ashish for their warm service, attention to detail, and genuine care throughout our visit. A special mention to Chef Ramesh, who took the best care of us and ensured that everything was perfect. His efforts and dedication made our dining experience even more delightful. We are truly grateful for the outstanding service and thoughtful gestures from the entire team. Feeling overwhelmed by the love, warmth, and hospitality we received. It was a fantastic experience in Taj.. its really a Wah Taj experience. Management was too supportive,polite and helpful. Food was amazing tasty ... overall every one should stay atleast once in a life.

I recently stayed at the Taj Lakefront in Bhopal, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Right from the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming. They made the check-in process so quick and easy, and it was nice to be greeted with smiling faces everywhere I went. The hotel itself is spotless. My room was super clean and felt very comfortable. I appreciated that they had all the essentials ready to go—things like a hair dryer, iron, and ironing board were already there, ***** with a great set of toiletries. The view from the room was another highlight, but what really surprised me was the thoughtful touch of a fruit basket and chocolates waiting for me. Having complimentary tea, coffee, and water readily available made the stay even more convenient. It’s those small details and the great hospitality that really stand out. The hotel is well located and is approchable from all Railway stations and Airport in Bhopal.Ample parking space and place to walk in the morning or evening.Reception is huge and very well kept and decorated.Evening tea and snacls are served to guests .Breakfast and food quality is excellent.All services are good.A very pleasent experience .Staff is corteous and well trained.

Amazing food and customer service! The pasta, burger and drinks everything was 10/10 and we had a lot of fun! Brines and suresh were amazing and so helpful. I’ll recommend everyone to try this place!!
