This hotel is inside the country park so you have to hire a car to go in and out. So you need to stock up with snacks and sweets before coming in. So, the only option you have is to take their package to the activities. I see tourists inside this hotel but mostly on tour, having their own packages. As travellers not bound by any travel agency, our choice is limited to: Jeep safari + canoeing. you can have the Tuala tribe dance and bbq snacks if you add more. Before signing up, I thought I could have more like jungle walk, ride on the elephant into the jungle, etc… outside the hotel is the country park so you can hear the animals at night which is good. But since there are trees, you quite can’t see the river from the balcony so it is not like you sit in the balcony and you can see the river and animals right outside. This hotel is first class for the cleanliness and the room. But for travellers, probably staying outside the country park has more options. My bf and I did not take their buffet lunch or dinner (which cost 2500rs / person) but insisted on a-la-cart. The food is not bad. And there are many waiters and waitresses to serve you.

Had a wonderful stay at Soaltee! Loved the warm hospitality, fun activities, and especially the amazing food. The staff were very humble and helpful throughout our visit. Came with family and everyone was truly happy with the service. A memorable experience—thank you, Soaltee!

Soaltee are working towards being Nepal's first 5-star hotel chain. But they're not there yet. This hotel's position and absence of things to do - for example, there is nothing to do, no entertainment, in the hotel or locally after you've had your evening meal around 7.30pm - and absence of any ambience in the bar area - meant we simply went to bed after we had eaten. The food was good, but not as good as that I had in a 4-star hotel in Europe a few months back - after a few days, it got boring. The level of service from staff and management was excellent - they were all really attentive, sometimes overly so. As regards safaris, part of Chitwan National Park is on the doorstep, but on the day we went, neither we nor any other guided tours in that part of the park saw any animals of any note - the guides of a number of Land rover tours spoke to each other as they passed each other, no one saw anything - All we had was a long, uncomfortable ride around forest tracks. It didn't help that the ride was in diesel engined vehicles that could be heard miles away. In summary, Soaltee have a bit of work to do to achieve their goals.

This place was more than excellent. The service was absolutely extraordinary. The staffs were pleasant and made our stay so much more comfortable. Thank you to Soaltee westend for helping me make so many wonderful memories with my family.
