I stayed for 2 days while I was working in the area between Christmas and New Year. What can I say? The hotel is great for exploring the local area, and the reception team seem to work the same shifts each day of my stay which is nice, has I did manage to build up a rapport which them. Nisha, the early shift duty manager, was very approachable, and I was able to get my extra towels and my room serviced. She understood the problem of having long hair and needing extra towels to dry it. Brian, who was on in the evening as Duty Manager, seemed to know the local shops which were open and also how to get around the local area and how to find a bargain! He also gave me good advice on how to get to the office, which has it was my first time I found a great help. Breakfast was a slightly limited menu, but Nisha explained that she would try to ensure that there was a good choice of food available. The restaurant is large and in the evening felt a bit uninviting but the friendly atmosphere from Tommie, the server, bar man, was first class he always had/made time for a chat which is nice. The scampi and chips were first class, and the chefs were very professional and I did ask Tommie for their names, and he said Syvlia and Jui! Please pass on my thanks for a first class meal on both nights. The beds are comfortable and big, the room was clean and warm, the only slight moan is the towels are not soft! The Internet worked, and I was able to do work in the evenings when I got into the room. The TV channel choice was good. This is my go-to hotel, and I have made a note on my company travel profile to add to my preferred hotel for visits to our Belverdere depot.
