We went here this evening for a Boxing Day dinner after unfortunately being let down by a nearby establishment last minute. I phoned first to ask for availability and explained I had a small dog. A young gentleman said there was availability and I’m so glad as it saved the day. Lovely , friendly helpful staff. Lovely surroundings, food great and reasonable prices. We had our little dog with us and there was water and treats available for him. I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks for saving the day !

I rarely review unless I’ve had a particularly memorable experience. We called at The Kingshead for a drink today because it looked ok from outside. Somewhat disappointed with the interior, a mismatch of random furniture that wasn’t shabby chic just shabby. It was only a quick drink so didn’t leave, my wife selected a table and I waited to order. I wish we’d not ignored our initial thoughts. I ordered a pint of Guinness and a half of Peroni….. £12 ! A ridiculous price for a tatty Yorkshire bar with stuffing bursting out of the furniture. Both male and female loos left much to be desired too.

Just what we wanted for an overnight stay. We were able to leave the car in the car park prior to check-in. We stayed in the Ironside room, which was large and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. The staff were on hand if you needed anything. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant which was delicious and plentiful. There was no problem with us leaving the car after we had checked out (until 2.00 pm) which was very helpful. If we are ever in the area again we would not hesitate to stay here.

Had a treat away, and it was fantastic! From Aidan at check-in to Ellen looking after us at breakfast. Great location right in the Hart of Beverley, The rooms were clean and comfortable. A good range of drinks and a casual meal in the bar area were the staff were just as attentive. Great stay all round.

We had a meal in the restaurant. We were served by Emily and Eoyncen. The meal was lovely and well cooked and presented and we both enjoyed our food. We were very pleased with the service which was friendly, humerous and efficient. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked for Christmas day.
