Hotels near Kleine Orangerie in Berlin

This hotel has had a revamp and is now called the Art Hotel, Park Plaza. There is another Park Plaza nearby…..we ended up there first! So don’t get confused!! Once you find this hotel….we arrived on the day of a national strike… it’s fab. Ignore the journey planner…. This hotel is a less than 10 min walk from the western end of the U1 line. The room we had was on 5th floor on a quite busy street, but it was so quiet we didn’t realise it until we looked out of the window the following morning. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, a great night sleep was had by us both. Shower was a big rainfall type with a smaller head shower head option if you wanted. Complimentary Elemis shower gel, hand wash, as well as body lotion. Breakfast was worth every penny as part of your B&B option. Otherwise it’s €18 for a full option or €5 for coffee and a croissant in the bar. Breakfast was fresh, pastries, cheese, meats, toast, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, pancakes, cereals, yoghurts; you could make your own fresh juice from fresh veggies & fruits. Coffee was excellent (I was told)…. I took my own teabags as I am very fussy, and made great tea. There is a spectacular hot water urn……that is very ornate and was awesome. Staff were multilingual and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very insightful about the local area, and the available public transport options. I would highly recommend this hotel which has pop art throughout. We are planning to head back to visit Berlin again and we will most certainly stay here again.

a budget hotel with budget facilities. I expected nothing more and nothing less. In my experience it is what it says in the description. The location is good, close to a metro station and within walking distance of checkpoint Charlie. The hotel had a nice bar area adjoining the check in desk. With a comfortable place to sit down. The bed is very soft though in a twin room they are too close together. The hotel offers AC in the hotel room and a radiator for towels in the bathroom. However the AC is a bit week, so give yourself plenty of time to cool down before you sleep.

This is great if you stay in Berlin for a few days. It’s good that public transport is right outside the hostel. It’s a bit far from the main city so you will have to get a few public transport to get there. The beds are squeaky but comfortable enough. The television is in German which is expected. There is no rooms with a shower or toilet in them, so you will have to walk to the shower and toilet. It is a shared bathroom. You will need to give separate deposit if you need towels and utensils and to wash and dry your clothes. The deposit can only be made in cash. There are no bins in the room but the rooms do have a fridge and a locker and a table and chairs. The hostel is great for sleeping and then leaving the next day to do activities.

Excellent luxury hotel with an excellent location. The concierge was very helpful and the entire staff was extremely accommodating and provided first class service. My room, although it was luxurious and the bed super comfortable, did look a bit old, and small for what I expected. The breakfast was great, very varied and with top quality traditional German ingredients and dishes. I especially remember the chefs who explained the ingredients to me and Andreas at the restaurant reception with a great attitude every time he saw us. I highly recommend this hotel , excellent option to visit Berlin

Relatively large hotel located in a convenient, central location with clean and modern, nice rooms. The room was very modern and fresh - perfect for an overnight stay in Berlin. Location of the hotel is pretty hard to beat - by public transport and restaurants, shops, bars, sights, etc. to see right in the immediate area.

Stayed here with friends on a visit to Berlin . Our choice of hotel was ruled by what was available, in the right location and had a good rating . Berlin is a body city and even busier when we went due to a Coldplay concert. Very glad we decided to stay here as the staff were friendly , the hotel public areas and rooms very clean and the breakfasts absolutely amazing. Worth the money for the choice of food at the buffet style breakfasts, which included fresh fruits, yoghurts, pastries, breads, waffles, cakes, cereals ,cheeses, and hot food which as mushrooms and scrambled eggs . Our rooms were quiet, the beds comfortable and everything was clean. Towels were changed once during our 3 night stay. Bathrooms didn't seem to be cleaned , which was ok as we didn't get them very dirty, but beds were made. There was a hairdryer provided and there was a TV in the bedroom part although we didn't use it. There was a small safe in the room, which although it worked at first , ceased to work after a day or so. We reported it but it still wasn't working by the time we left. Our friends had a similar problem. A drawback for us and our friends personally was the lack of a kettle in the room, although I know that when staying on hotels abroad this isn't always provided. We did miss the option to make tea and coffee for ourselves The location of the hotel is good and central but quiet. We know Berlin as we used to live there and chose the hotel partly for its location. . If ..or rather when....going to Berlin again... I would definitely consider staying here again .

This hostel is in a part of Berlin that is not far from most places. It’s clean and the staff are always helpful. Do bring a lock since the lockers in the dorms don’t have one but you could rent them for 5 euros at the reception when I was there.

Next to HB Biergarten and Alexandraplatz Station. Good spread for breakfast, however, the menu barely change over 7 seven days. Just be aware that there are no amenities (toothbrush, kettle, fridge, cup for hot beverages), so do bring your own. Wifi connectivity is excellent throughout the hotel. Avoid arriving on Sunday, as most shops will be closed.

After arriving in retro style, I realized that this hotel was much better than I imagined. The room was very clean and it was very convenient to the city and the subway. If you are a couple or a family of three or four, you can choose from different room types. This time I stayed in a one-room apartment with a small kitchen, which was suitable for a short trip. Value for money ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The decoration style of the entire hotel is very unique. The hotel gym also has a sauna and swimming pool. The restaurant on the first floor is also very good. I didn't go to the garden because the weather was too cold. I want to come here again next time. There is a brunch shop nearby that is also delicious. Decent hostel, relatively clean and facilities are good. Location is good has a tram and metro stop right outside. Only downside is upon arrival 3/4 of the locks didn’t work in our rooms so we had to get reception to fix. However, they were very efficient and felled straight away. Also to note that reception normally only has one staff member on so you might be waiting a while to be seen to
