Rude staff, wifi doesn't work, cleaning is bad. Checking in takes forever. Basic room with bed and bathroom that are ok. Place is run down and not maintained well Area is nice. Very Berlin. But if you can find a different hotel for a better experience or lower your expectations.

The pillows are awfull. I got the worst neckpain ever, I tried to close the curtain, but it didn't work and the whole thing fell. I thus had a hard time sleeping because the light woke me up early in the morning. There's really little functionality with the charging connectors. My phone would only charge occasionally and would not charge at all the other times (my charger worked in the hotel's main lobby, so I'm sure that my charger wasn't the problem). I had been told I would receive a double bed, but instead I got two separate beds. Two different photos of the hotel room can be found online. 1 of a beautiful golden room and 1 of a red-ish designed room. After asking on the phone which room i should expect when i arrive. I was told the golden room is what i reserved. Unfortunately what i had gotten was what i was afraid for, the red-ish room which in my opinion was terribly designed.

This is , by far , the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in . Let’s skip all the small things like rudeness of the personnel , lack of guiding signs and zero sound isolation . You can see something like this in many hotels , so I wouldn’t even bother . But when at 4 a.m. the door of you room suddenly opens and somebody walks in (!) , you realize that your choice of hotel was horribly wrong . Fortunately , it was just two drunk guys who missed their door and somehow opened mine with their card key . After realizing their mistake , they just laughed and went away . Without knowing what might come in their drunk heads (they could think that it would be funny to “pay a visit” to a neighbour) , I barricaded my door with chairs , then called the reception . The guy who was on the night shift was the ONLY person in that hotel that actually tried to help me . He apologized immediately , re-encoded my card key and even asked if I would like to change the room . As he already re-encoded the key , I said that there is no need for the change , but , still being nervous that somebody can open the room after I check out (I was staying for only one night) , I asked if somebody can check the room in my presence at 9 a.m. to be sure that there is no any damage done to it . He said it’s ok . Obviously , no one came to check it . At the reception there was another guy who knew nothing and were refusing to communicate pretending he doesn’t know English . After I finally explained him what happened , he asked if something was stolen from me . I said no . And then he replied : “ So what’s the problem then ?” Sure , somebody walking in your room in the middle of the night must be something completely natural . Even it was in the middle of the day , it’s still unacceptable . They call themselves a 3 star hotel , but cannot provide even the basics of safety . Fortunately , this time it end well . But is not your usual “bad hotel” experience . It is a situation that could lead to an actual crime ! I don’t even want to think what could happen if these two guys had bad intentions . Or what if instead of me there was girl or somebody with children . Very sad that I cannot put 0 out of 5 , because even 1 is too much for something like this .

...an update to my complaints about the minibar problems... I had a very cordial correspondence with Mr. Eric Neumann who personally saw to it that our room was refreshed with the missing snacks and drinks. He was incredibly professional (and generous) and this quick response more than makes up for any disappointment we felt earlier in our stay. Terrific service! Thank you.

We were on a tour and our experiences were common. 1. Noisy It is opposite a street of bars We were there on the weekend It was very noisy, not just from revelers but ambulances and traffic. 2. Air-conditioning The fan worked but the air-conditioning didn't. 3. Room It had not been cleaned properly. The was clumps of dust underneath the bed side tables, the shower had a stray Bobby pin on the floor. The curtains didn't cover the whole window.. it was hot and this let the sun directly into the room. 4. Add-ons Zero. We had 1 plastic cup. I asked reception for another. It was provided. This is the 1sy place I have ever stayed that does supply a glass/cup.

Air conditioner very noisy and didn’t get cool at all. Had floor fan in room but had to download phone app to adjust and had dramas with it. Just gave up in the end. Water temperature in the shower fluctuates from cold to luke warm, not a good experience. Talking to other people on our tour, they too had the same problems. No tea / coffee facilities in rooms.

Stayed here 3 nights and was ve try pleased with the place after being concerned from the reviews. The section we stayed in was recently renovated and very clean, fresh and quiet!! Rooms had wireless and usb charging right over the bed which was my fav bit! Very well done Klassik Reception staff were very helpful. Didn’t like the €5 deposit for extra room Key but it’s not a big deal. Berlin is a lot of cash places and wasn’t prepared for it is all.

Was a little scared when the taxi driver told me that the hotel was located on THE party street, but there was no reason to worry. A nice, average hotel with ok comfort, rooms with a bit interesting "format", quiet guests and nicely placed in a central location not too far from city centre and easy access to S-bahn station with direct line to airport. A great place to stay if you're looking for a place for a short stay.
