Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg 4-star Hotels

Location was great, service was good, room was spacious by European standards, overall a great place to stay!

This hotel has 5 room types, i booked an Executive apartment, which if the second top room type. I am a solo traveller, but liked the room layout and the extra space. I checked in on 30/03/22 for 3 nights and was allocated room 107. On opening the door i immediately thought it did not exactly resemble the pics i had seen for an Executive Apartment, it was big enough, but just not what i was expecting. The kitchen area was locked up with a shutter over it, which i thought strange. I literally just in the room for 5 minutes and went out exploring. I checked with reception about the kitchen being looked and they asked if i wanted it unlocked to use, yes, that's why i booked that room type, the fridge with freezer compartment for ice and cold drinks. I came back about 5 hours later and the kitchen was indeed unlocked. I was going to shower and looked for the bath robe and slippers which should be in the room, but nothing was there. it was at this point i was sure this was not the room type i had booked. I checked on my phone and looking at the specifications was sure i had been given the wrong room type. I went to reception to enquire and spoke to the duty manager, he printed off 2 pages to show the difference between an Executive Apartment and an Apartment (the top room type), although the same pics had been used to advertise both room types, there were some differences and he stated that my room was larger than most in the hotel. I was still unsure, but accepted what he said and i collected a bathrobe and slippers, the reason they are not already in the room was due to ongoing Covid restrictions. I still felt that i was in the room room type, it was large, but a lot of the room was taken up by a wet room, which was adapted for a wheelchair user and this made the room an awkward space with a lot of dead space. As it turned out, my flight home was cancelled and i ended up staying only 2 nights, so didn't pursue things further. On returning home i checked the room specifications on the website and room 107 is not up to the specifications advertised or as soon in the pics. two main reasons. 1) Executive Apartments have a sofa/sofa bed and can sleep up to 3 people, room 107 had no sofa/sofa bed and this room could only sleep 2 people max. 2) Executive Apartments have a separate seating area, a table and chairs where you can sit and eat, this is clearly shown in the pics too. This was not in room 107. The only seating was a chair at the desk and one other chair. I think room 107 is a superior room adapted for a wheelchair user, but was given to me as i was a solo traveller and dd not need the capacity to sleep 3. I wanted the sofa/sofa bed to sit on and relax, that's why i booked a room with that in it. I am only writing this review, as 3 emails have gone unanswered, one to novum hotels 10/04/22 and two direct to the hotel 12/04/22 and 20/04/22. This hotel is an ideal residential neighbourhood, but also central to many attractions. Seconds from Liebeskind’s Jewish Museum, a short walk to Potsdamer Platz, etc. Superb breakfast, tidy modern rooms and excellent staff. Very comfortable and user friendly across all criteria. I would stay here again any time. Quiet street for the centre of Berlin.

Stayed for 4 nights in September 2022. The location of the hotel is ideal, being both quiet enough to relax but also close to all the sights. 3 minutes walk from the S-Bahn station and 5 minutes from the U-Bahn. The room was a good size. Comfortable bed, large TV with super picture. Big bathroom with powerful shower and a bath. Immaculately clean. The black out curtains were very useful to shut out the early morning light. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room (I just wish they would leave more tea bags rather than 1 of each type!) There was also a safe in the room. Buffet breakfast selection was brilliant, and the food was of a good quality. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and efficient. There was nothing too formal, just a nice environment all round. Good value for money and ticked every box for our stay. Thoroughly recommend.

I really liked this little boutique hotel. It was very, very clean and EXTREMELY quiet!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PEACE AND QUIET at a hotel, which is difficult to have. The room was classic European; quaint, small and was very clean - no dust anywhere and I appreciate that. The windows in the room REALLY kept any outside noise out. I thought there were birds in the area because I couldn't hear them! When opened the windows, I heard them. That's just how good they were at keeping the noise out. I did LOVE the church bells however. I opened the windows and recorded them when I could, they sounded so pretty. The water was wonderfully hot and the the spray was strong and felt so good against my skin. The water was soft and didn't dry my skin out like the water in the area I live in in the states. The hotel staff was very courteous and always kind. I am American and am HIGHLY fond of European breakfast! The breakfast here did not disappoint to me. The beds were lovely and just the right amount of firmness for me. I would definitely stay here again. The chocolate croissants were to die for! I hate I missed them on my last day.

As a musician I loved the interior, the architecture, the pictures and gallery. Little niche beside the bed to plug in your mobile phone/ tablet or what soever - very comfortable. Lots of very nice details everywhere. This hotel fits perfectly in Berlin.

There is a parking lot nearby, but I do n’t have a car rental so it is not very clear, but there are good Chinese restaurants nearby. The satisfaction with this room is beyond my expectation, it is very spacious, and there are sofas and armchairs to make light meals by yourself. The heating and hot water supply is sufficient. Berlin is very cold these days. When I go out to take a hot bath, my body is warming up, especially comfortable. The hotel staff was very nice. It is also close to many attractions, and the transportation is very convenient. It is only 20 minutes to the central station. It is highly recommended for friends who want to visit Berlin. Also, did I say that the WIFI signal here is super good ...

The room is clean and tidy, the breakfast is quite rich, the transportation is convenient nearby, there are different supermarkets, there is a park next to it, and there are Alexander Square more than 2 kilometers. It is not bad.

The NH Hotel was really excellent. The reception was standing occupied and the staff were super friendly! The room was very clean, also we had a great bathroom. Thanks to again!

The hotel is new and has stylish decorations. The service was amazing, especially the staff at breakfast who would come and check if I need anything. I had a very comfortable stay for two days in the hotel - soft bed, clean and nicely smell room, spacious and well equipped. The bus stop is just outside of the hotel which takes you to major stations. Will definitely stay again.
