Industriepalast Berlin

I stayed with a group last weekend at Industriepalast. I had a room that I shared with two friends, all seemed fine. I left my Nintendo Switch on the table thinking I could do that if only I, some friends and personnel of the hostel had access to the room. When we got back to the hotel in the evening though, the console itself was gone. I went to the reception to ask if someone might have taken it or brought to lost and found on accident. The employees were just rude about the whole thing and accused my friends of stealing from me. We checked all our bags to see if maybe someone put it in one of our bags while cleaning but nothing was found. They told me they would ask housekeeping if they saw the thing in my room and of course they didn't and once again the people from reception said it was my own fault and I must have lost it somewhere myself. If I wanted to get anymore help they told me to just report it to the police. The security in the hostel itself is awful as well, during the day people at the reception did not pay attention to who walked in at all nor did they bother, they were more busy with themselves. All with all it was a horrible experience and I would recommend all people that want to make a reservation at this hostel to stay as far away as possible.

We arrived to our Room and it wasn't clean. One of the pillows had a stein that looked like someone wipe his butt with it (we got a picture of it). We requested the receptionist that our room wasn't clean, the flow was all sticky and the toilet had something that I wouldn't like to know what it was. They told us that they will send someone to clean the room but no one was there. Some other guest were also complaining about the cleaning. I booked the hostel becouse I found it in our corporate benefits but I will request to remove this ”benefit” because it doesn't keep up to a good quality standards for our employees.

good point Walking distance to major tourist attractions well cleaned and clean Laundry (washing and drying) can be done for 5 euros bad point There is no kitchen and no place to wash water bottles etc. dark corridor Elevator is narrow Hairdryers can be rented without a deposit. There is no kitchen, but there is a water server next to the reception. Other word of mouth said that there was noise, but I didn't feel it. Wasn't there a group of students staying? Maybe luck. It's a large hostel, so I think it would be difficult if the toilet and bathroom were in a far room. This is also luck.

The Grqnd Hyatt Berlin is my stay of choice when in Berlin. It’s Potsdamer Platz location is ideal for the main sights, connects to the airport and many terrific eateries. The room and breakfast quality are excellent and it’s small enough to give personal service.

The hostel is located directly at the metro station Mehringdamm. So the location is great. The staff is super friendly and premature. The room was conveniently furnished and clean. The bed was really super convenient. The breakfast was rich, fresh and delicious. 1 star deduction for the very common and urgently renewable facilities. Also it is quite noisy due to the direct location on the Mehring dam at night. Whoever only seeks a possibility of staying is right here. I would stay here again.

This was a great hostel in Berlin. Neighborhood was super cool and it was the most lively of the hostels we stayed at during this trip in Euro. We got lucky with our room as it was down a hall by itself and even though it was near kitchen it was pretty quiet. The staff was super nice and helpful and the room was spacious despite being 6 beds. Bathroom was also nice and clean. Only complaint would be it's on the pricier side for hostels, and the kitchen did not have much to use for cooking compared to others.
