Here’s a good piece of advice: stay away from Bergen Camping Park. The site is located in the middle of an industrial area, right behind a noisy racetrack. The surroundings feel rundown and shady, with clutter everywhere and numerous abandoned cars without license plates. The sanitary facilities were shockingly filthy – the toilets and showers were in such poor condition that we felt the need to disinfect ourselves with hand sanitizer afterwards. This place earns a single star for one reason only: at least they don’t charge a premium price for the experience. Definitely not recommended – we couldn’t wait to leave.

Horrible campsite. Very expensive! Avoid at all costs! The rooms are crap, the kitchen doesn't work, the bathroom shower is clogged and some lights are out. Besides, the treatment has been very bad, and people are very annoying. Find another campsite in the area, this one sucks

We stayed in Bergen on a busy Friday night. The hotels that were available were pricey. We decided to stay in a little cabin at the Bergen Camping Park and were very glad we did. There were three of us, so the "Type 2" was perfect for us. It had it's own bathroom and a little kitchen. We were comfortable, the cabin was clean and everything worked. I had packed some sheets and towels for our travels, as we needed them at our family cabin later in our trip anyway, but we did rent one set for around $6 which was fine. We enjoyed playing cards at our little table outside our cabin. The front office made vafler with syltetoy (waffles and jam) for us in the morning and even delivered it to our cabin when they were ready! Very reasonably priced, no issues, we will stay here again.

We called the reception and the person told that the reception would be open till 23:00. At around 22:50 we called them to inform that we got a bit delayed and might reach there by 23:01, but no one picked up the call. We reached at 22:59 but the reception was long closed. Now we are stranded with nowhere to go. Pathetic service, will warn my friends never to go to this place

Rented a bungalow in July 2022 for 3 of us. The room was new and big and can accommodate up to 6. In addition to the bunk beds, there are 2 loft beds and a sofa bed. As the loft was very high up in the ceiling, we didn’t get to use it. Kids may find it fun. The camp was located right outside Bergen city centre and there is a direct bus that will bring you there and back. We chose to leave the car at the camp and spent the day in the city centre on foot. The receptionist was helpful and polite, and gave us directions to the bus stop and bus number.

This place has an absolutely horrible way of treating their guests! We had booked a stay for the weekend 12-14 August in connection with a competition our son was to participate in this weekend. When we arrived in the afternoon of the 12th, they had managed to rent out the cabin we were to rent, we had then driven for over 7 hours to stay there and had to get up early the next day. They spent over an hour getting us booked into another cabin, and rather prioritized helping people buy soft drinks and toast. We finally got our cabin, and said it will be fine. Got up the next day and went downtown to take part in a competition. When we returned around 15:00 we found another family in our cabin, and all our things had been cleared out of the cabin and thrown into garbage bags and placed in reception. When we went to reception and asked what had happened, we were met with the same attitude as the night before, I sat on the sofa and waited for them to serve customers soft drinks and ice cream and to check in those who came with camper vans etc. I sat in over an hour before they said we would get our cabin back. When we went back to the cabin and were about to move back, there was rubbish in the bucket in the cupboard and dirty cups in the sink, so they hadn't even bothered to clean the room after the other family, who they also chased away. I then went upstairs and asked to be refunded the money for the overnight stay, but that was not the case. I could get a little discount was the answer. By then my patience had run out and I asked for a refund of what I had paid, so we were allowed to leave. I then got the money back and was about to leave. We then had to check the condition of our luggage and that everything was in place, as they had put everything in garbage bags. There were soaps, shampoos, perfumes, milk, juice, ham and cheese dumped in together with clothes, laptop and electronics so it had leaked out and over our clothes and my son's laptop. In addition, all the food we had with us was initially sorted and separated because we have a son with celiac disease, but now all his food had to be thrown away because everything was squeezed together and contaminated with gluten. So food for several NOK 100 straight in the trash and potentially broken electronics, and not even a hint of an offer of compensation, just an excuse for a system error and a complaint that they lost money because they had to turn others away, and that we demanded the money back. Then she who was at the reception came over to us when we were standing outside in the square in front of the reception building and dried food and soap from our clothes and all the luggage was lying outside the square, and says that they have apologized for the system error. As if the system error is what we reacted to. If they had only called us before they decided to throw everything out, this would not have become an issue. I was so shocked and provoked to be treated this way, and so angry
