Not bad, I went to the concert. There is a mountain over there, and if you are in a town, you have to do a bus to go below. Nijmegen is a small city in the five-line area. I feel everyone knows it. The hotel is also good, there are smoking areas outside the window, it is quite good.
My husband and I stayed in this hotel 3 nights in May 2022. I observed some attitudes from the hotel's restaurant staff. One night we decided to eat at the hotel's restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, we saw 4 staff chatting together. They carried on chatting and ignored us. This carried on 10 minutes! Meanwhile, we waited. My husband then very politely tried to get one of the staff's attention but was totally ignored! She only looked up when she was good and ready. What usually happens is they'll say, ”ik kom eraan”. We'd have been happy to grant it. Once we were seated, one of the waiters went to another table who were seated after us. When the same waiter finally ”saw” us, my husband asked to look at the menu first. His demeanor changed and said, ”oh, you don't want any drinks,” said ”good” and just walked away!!! Only minutes later the leader of the wait staff came by with all the menus. What is it with the restaurant staff's attitude? The other staff were efficient and friendly though. Their rooms have different layouts. All are spacious but there are different layouts. Behind the hotel are woods with wonderful trails for long and short walks. I am very disappointed in the service at the Fletcher Hotels. To make a very long story short: We made a booking via a bongo voucher, left on holiday, arrived at our hotel at 10 am and were told that the hotel was completely full. While we had simply made a booking. I had all the evidence of it with me. But the gentleman at the counter didn't even want to look at this. They also did not join in the search for a solution. There we were, at 10 p.m. at night, just standing on the street. We wanted to call around in the lobby to find a solution, but we were just thrown out there too. Could we please leave the hotel... We then drove 1.5 hours back home. I have emailed for this. The staff member was spoken to and we received compensation. I have been working on this compensation for several weeks now and it now appears that we are not receiving what we were promised as compensation at all. They tell us that there are many blisters. I feel very unfairly treated and will therefore never book anything with Fletcher again.
Just had a drink and pre dinner snack. Ordered a small borrel snack of charcuterie with cheese nuts and olives. It was a generous portion between us filling enough to not need much dinner when we arrived home in Lent. Friendly attentive personnel and plenty of them. We sat with our dog on the terrace which overlooks a luscious green field. We felt very welcome.
Our historic hotel in Nijmegen is a destination on its own. The Rebyl is located just at the edge of the city centre of the vibrant city. The beautiful, stately building on Vierdaagseplein has a remarkable history. For over 50 years, until 1973, the building provided education to several generations of Nijmegen women in the tumultuous period after the first and second world wars. The era when many female Rebyls emerged. This characteristic landmark was a high school for girls for decades and is now transformed into a 4 star hotel The Rebyl, Nijmegen, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel. In addition to a rich history, the city offers a vibrant and thriving cultural and nightlife scene with museums, concert halls and theaters.

Great location at the river and in the center. Nice river view from small but comfortable rooms. The hotel is a former warehouse with lots of old details that add to the nice atmosphere. The whole building but also the breakfast and level of service represent the love of the host for his guests. Every hotel would wish such a great host.
The Manna is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Manna offers a pleasant stay in Nijmegen for those traveling for business or leisure. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Heyendaal Station located approximately 3km away and Weeze Airport roughly 45km away. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Huis van de Nijmeegse Geschiedenis, Brouwtoren and De Maanvis all nearby. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This Nijmegen hotel provides parking on site.
I spent a Sunday and Monday night there; paid by my host (the university). Great choice on their part. The room was well appointed except for the somewhat small safe which would not accommodate my laptop. That said, the place is quite safe (access to the guest rooms via elevator that requires guest access card), so I just left it in the open. There's a coffee machine in the room and you can get extra capsules from the front-desk if need be. Toilet and shower are separate but, yes, as JapanGirl has mentioned, if you are not alone, you need to feel quite comfortable with your partner ... Wifi is stable and pretty fast, also on the ground floor/brekkie area, tv has some English language channels. Brekkie is fabulous and plenty. The ground floor is separated in about half a dozen areas and you can have brekkie in an ambiance of your choice. I had a colleague over for an hour to discuss one of her projects and ordered a cappuccino for her. When I wanted to pay for it, I was told that was fine. Everyone on the staff is super-nice and helpful. Good vibes. Really quite liked the place.
