Our stay at the Hotel Edelweiss this Christmas was nothing short of excellent. This was our third stay at the hotel and we felt this review has been long overdue. The hotel itself is a true gem, especially around Christmas, to add to this the breathtaking views and luxurious yet cozy decor really make the experience unforgettable. Berchtesgaden itself is a winter wonderland at Christmas. Surrounded by the snow-covered Bavarian Alps, the setting is absolutely breathtaking and the Christmas market creates a charming atmosphere within the town itself with festive lights and decorations. Definitely worth the trip to stroll around the town and take in the magic of the holiday season and enjoy a Glühwein (or two…). However, what truly made our experience unforgettable were the staff. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout our stay. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel truly cared for. And a massive thank you to Simone in particular, who went above and beyond to make my sister’s birthday there truly special. We couldn’t think of a better way of spending our Christmas and we can’t wait to return next year, if not sooner!

Die Begrüßung von Herrn Reandi war eher zurückhaltend und ignorant! Die Bedienung/Bestellung am Tisch …. naja. Bei einer Nachbestellung einer Scheibe Zitrone für mein Mineralwasser meinte der Kellner ich sollte das das nächste mal gleich sagen, dann müsste er nicht noch mal laufen……… Ohne Worte!!!!!! Auf eine Folgebestellung mussten nicht nur wir warten bzw. auf uns aufmerksam machen. Auch anderen Gästen ging es so. Das war leider sehr enttäuschend! Das Essen allerdings war super lecker, da gab es nichts zu bemängeln!

Gute Küche, guter Service und ein Wellnessbereich vom Feinsten. Das Hotel Edelweiss ist zu Recht der „Platzhirsch“ in Berchtesgaden. Wir haben hier logiert während des Berchtesgadener Advents. Ein idealer Standort, um einen der schönsten Weihnachtsmärkte Bayerns zu erobern. Hotelgäste sollten sich zudem unbedingt ein weiteres Highlight des Hotels nicht entgehen lassen: das Panoramarestaurant mit einem phantastischen Blick auf die historische Altstadt und die Alpen im Hintergrund. Das Restaurant ist auch für Externe zugänglich.

Wundervolles Hotel mit tollem Wellnessbereich in der 5. und 6. Etage des Hauses mit traumhaftem Ausblick auf die umliegenden Berge. Der riesige Whirlpool auf dem Dach lädt zum Träumen ein. Alle Mitarbeiter des Hotels sind sehr, sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen und auch das Abendessen in Menueform ist sehr gut mit toller Auswahl (vegetarisch, Fleisch, Fisch, gluten-free…) Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
