All rooms have their own hot spring bath, and you can enjoy the "mysterious blue water" that is 100% natural spring water whenever you like during your stay.

From the open-air bath, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Beppu, which will be a special moment. *The color of the blue water changes depending on the day.
You can choose your favorite plan from Japanese kaiseki and teppanyaki. Please enjoy dinner at the restaurant, where each chef has prepared a meal using carefully selected ingredients.
The grounds include a Japanese garden and a Noh theater, and the traditional beauty of Japan can be felt everywhere. Antiques and modern paintings are on display inside the building, allowing you to enjoy a moment out of the ordinary.

The room with the onsen was convenient and offered a great experience. It was spacious enough for three adults with large suitcases, and the futon was very comfortable. Dinner was excellent as well.
A wonderful place to stay! The staff was amazing, reaching out a week before our check-in to ask about our group and dinner preferences. We were so happy with our stay. Thank you, Sanso Kannawaen, for taking such great care of us!

The hotel is located in the iron wheel hot spring town of Beppu. The name of the hotel translated by Ctrip should be Togetsu. We provide pick-up and drop-off service from Beppu Station. You need to contact the hotel in advance to pick up the station. It is best to send an email. The communication language between the two parties on the phone is slightly poor. The sea view room is very beautiful. You can see Beppu Bay and the sunrise in the morning. The all-you-can-eat steak and crab legs buffet is great

We were assigned to a room in the east wing on the 5th floor. When we got up to watch the sunrise, we could also see the sea. It was really great. The location was very convenient. There was a station next to it that went directly to Yufuin and Beppu stations. The service staff are also very nice. The hot springs here are very comfortable. There are rooftop ones with sea views and outdoor ones on the first floor. They are both great. It is recommended to go downstairs at night and get up in the morning to go to the rooftop to soak in the hot springs and watch the sunrise๐
The hotel is very close to the Sea Hell, Mud Hell, White Hell and Ghost Hell on foot... They are all next to each other, and it feels good to see smoke everywhere.

The boss is not bad. He will go out at 7:30 in the evening to tell some more authentic information and help map the map. It is not convenient for the bed on the second floor toilet on the first floor.

The hotel is very good, room is clean and tidy, individual onsen is excellent.
The only point is the location will be a little bit far for travellers without cars, as hotel is on a hill slope, you will need to spend some efforts to go up, but the hotel quality worths this effort.

It is close by the onsen sight seeing area, it is a very good option to stay one night there after sight seeing around that area. The hot spring in the hotel was excellent๏ผthey have two floors for enjoying different feeling of hot spring. One improvement is I travelled with a family of four and since the package was for two adults, they only provide two tatami ๏ผ the children amenities was not provided including the hot spring clothes, so advice to buy a package of four instead

The front desk of the hotel was very attentive and introduced me to the hotel facilities and the precautions for using the hot spring. The communication was also very smooth. The location is very convenient. There is a 7-11 convenience store next to it. It is not far from the Umi Jigoku attraction. The room is fully equipped and the hot spring is very comfortable.

Outstanding
WWu Kwok ChungThe hotel is situated 15 minutes taxi ride from the Beppu station. So we have nowhere to go that night. But it's good enough to have hotspring and drinks in the hotel. The staff is very polite and can explain what you can do in English. Then you were lead to the room and tips rejected.
We booked the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. The dinner time is either 6pm or 6:30pm and the breakfast time 8am or 8:30. The dinner is good but maybe my expectation is quite high, it didn't reach my expectation, especially for the sashimi.
For the onsen, there are 4 private onsens and 2 public. One of the private onsens is closed. Therefore we can use 3. You can use the private onsen when it is not occupied. Just lock the door and turn the plate to the other side. But all the onsen are closed by 12 midnight. And there is a room with free flow beer and soda, but it closes at 10pm. Don't drink beer before taking hotspring.
There is also an onsen in our room which can be used anytime. It's hot at night but not so hot in the next morning. Overall, the view is good. The staff is good. The food is good (just not so great) and the onsens are good. Beppu is a good place to stay a few days more
MMiyu BirdiePersonal opinion as a Asian female solo traveler.
Great location: around 5 mins walk from Beppu station. There are a lot of restaurants and 2 Lawson nearby. It's super easy to have access to food. Their lobby cafe also serves good coffee.
Exterior: I heard they renovated the hotel recently, so the building and rooms and onsen all look new and classic.
Room: clean, neat, a bit small but acceptable. Especially appreciate that there is an air purifier in the room without prior/extra request.
Amenities facilities: You name it, they have it. More than just basic amenities. Especially appreciate ice maker on the 4th floor and self-service of skin products on the 1st floor, they have good sunscreen.
Front desk: They don't speak much English, but they really try their best. Wonderful hospitality. Especially the elderly staffs. Super friendly and welcoming.
Overall, it is more than a nice option for a budget hotel. If ever stop by Beppu in the future, i would be happy to stay again.
Oonlywinxit's a small homey inn, amazing for cat lovers. you get to spend 1h in a room full of super friendly cats. their homemade breakfast and dinner is delicious and very filling - you even get to eat next to another room of cats!
the only downside is the location, which is 1 short train station (comes every 40mins) away from beppu station. it's a bit in the residential area, and the walk from higashibeppu station can get a bit quiet and dark, but overall still a great place to stay!
KKaijenThis Super Hotel thoroughly represents ESG and its night bar and breakfast make it an exceptional experience.
Although the twin bed room is quite small and not friendly for 2 person luggage to be opened.
GGuest UserYou can see the sunrise from the room, and the private hot spring in the room is great and comfortable. There are activities and a lot of free food in the hotel in the evening, and the hotel employees are also very generous with gifts. Two meals per stay, breakfast and dinner are also in the hotel. The lobster sashimi for dinner is delicious and the service staff is very good. After dinner, they gave us a special anniversary gift, which was very heartwarming. Highly recommend this relaxing hotel.
AAO AO AOLocated right on top of a hill.
Seaview is pretty far from hotel room... Thus nothing much to see anyway.
As the Onsen is actually a bathtub attached to the inroom shower, the sulphur smell is very strong alike rotten eggs.
Stayed for one night and is a good experience.
AAnonymous Usergood value for money! would definitely stay again
location: it's relatively further from the station , around a 8-10min walk. there is a 7-11 just around the corner
room: my room came without a bathroom but for the ladies are 3 cubicles shared among the 7 mix gendered guests on the floor. i did not have to wait in line at all. there was more than enough space in the room to open my suitcase wide and still feel comfortable. bed and pillow was a bit hard though, and you can hear anyone talking loudly downstairs outside the building as the room is on 2nd floor, tho that doesnt happen very often.
food: amazing balanced breakfast that changes everyday - really delicious!
onsen: the one on 2F was smaller than 1F, but very good and comfortable. clean too. you can book a private onsen room for 500yen (50mins)
staff: all of them were super friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome. there are english-proficient staff available 24H as well :)
GGLfifiStaff was friendly and helpful even though some couldn't converse in fluent English. Room was clean and we had a beautiful view of the sea. We even caught the sun rise!
Onsen both indoors and outdoors were clean. I enjoyed the outdoors onsen more because of the lovely Seaview from the rooftop. Breakfast was nice. Only complaint was that the futon was too thin, I could feel the floor. Otherwise it was a lovely stay
JJo TanPros: Stayed at Room 203 meant for 5 personโฆ Spacious and comfortable room! Had a window too!
Good soundproofing between rooms. Only could hear passing by of trains while awake, so wasnโt a big an issue to us.
TV has YouTube and Netflix to watch!
Cons: No lift!!! We had to carry our heavy & big luggages to the 2nd floor! *Should indicate shortage of this important facility in the booking system!
Only 2 parking spaces for 7 units. *Should also indicate in the booking system that parking spaces are first come first served and have to park at nearby paying car parks if both were being taken up.
Will be nice to provide some garbage bags in the room as clearing of food waste from the room was definitely necessary during the many days of our stay!
Dining table (super wobbly and one side of the table legs seemed like giving away very soon) needs to changed/repaired instantly!
GGuest UserThe receptionist was courteous. The other staff members were also considerate. The rooms are clean and have plenty of amenities. The breakfast was luxurious and filling.
