This hotel looks good, on the outside. The reception has a nice ambience and the staff are friendly. Breakfast offers a decent variety. As you might expect from a hotel of this calibre. In-house swimming pool and a workout centre available. ****** just next door. Having said that, the rooms look tired and definitely need some TLC. Come on, dear hotel manager, step into the 21st century! And the house cleaning manager should be reprimanded for not properly checking on his/her staff - we booked two rooms and both had dust all over the place. Even on the walls! One room was harbouring an unwanted guest in the bathroom: a silverfish/firebrat. Big yikes.

Like all Van Der Valks this is a good hotel, clean, friendly staff and located in a easy to reach spot. The restaurant is good as well, they serve a good lunch and sound dinner as well for a fair price.

Stopped here for lunch after a 6.5hourjoyrney from Denmark. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially checking deserts due to a good allergy. I had the liver and onions and boy was it good. Plenty of liver only vomplaint was the bacon was streaky do mainly fat. However hubby soon devoured it

We had rather good experience with Van der Valk before, but boy, was this one a mistake! There were children running everywhere, on and off the stairs, in the corridors, around the pool..., accompanied by shouting ( themselves AND their parents), till 10.30pm. We had asked for a quiet room! The room was dark ( no adequate lighting), dated ( rusty radiators, peeling off wallpaper, broken tiles...), the mattress and pillows far too soft, the shower pressure went on and off... Positive: the breakfast and the friendliness of the reception staff.

It's a shame that people from the neighborhood were using the swimming pool. Wasn't a nice experience. We always went specifically for the swimming pool. And the new rooms are not pleasant with the new ventilation system very dry air. Even your eyes start to bite. And your skin dries out. Beds weren't very good either. Way too soft.

Nice spacious room with minibar, safe. We were also offered 2 drinks by the hotel upon arrival. Breakfast buffet was very good :-)

Excellent establishment. Very quiet, and cozy. Good buffet. Large dining room. Great outdoor terrace. It has an indoor pool on the ground floor. I have stayed twice, and it is a hotel that can be recommended, without a doubt. If there is a "but", it is that it is not close to an urban environment, although perhaps that is not a drawback for my taste.

Stayed one night due to... family visit. Requested in advance a room where no pets had recently stayed. Because this hotel allows pets in all standard rooms. Was assigned room 105. When I get home, my feet and lower legs are covered in flea bites. No response from the hotel requested for compensation. According to the sales department, there was no pet in that room 9 days before my arrival. And the bed is vacuumed and the bed is changed every day. I should have taken a more expensive room that doesn't allow pets. It would make more sense if this hotel uses a number of standard rooms for people with a pet and not in all rooms so that this cannot happen.

Had a lunch buffet with a larger group. The buffet is delicious, plenty of choice. The only downside is that it doesn't say what it is. We heard this from several guests, so another tip is to add a plate with the salads and so on. Delicious scrumbled eggs with bacon by the way.
