The beach was very nice but checkout had to be in person which was a nightmare since it was so far from my room I had to take the golf cart trolly who took me to the wrong checkout building and the line to checkout was ridiculous ! The resort also was way overpriced for the average food and service.

You should change beds. It is very uncomfortable. I couldn’t sleep at all. I woke up every hour at night.
Also don’t expect to see the ocean.
Views from windows are sucks.

The check-in was great, when in the room we noticed there was a cockroach in the bathroom and a live lizard crawling on the wall. When notified the front desk about it, they replied lizard is ok but the cockroach is gross. I was amazed by this response. They eventually sprayed my room since changing the room would have left us without a place for few hrs as per the front desk person. We asked for extra bed which arrived after 4-5 hrs and multiple phone calls.

I was thrilled to stay at Moon Palace Cancun for a week, but my excitement was marred by a deceptive timeshare sales ordeal that wasted two vacation days. The resort is stunning, but aggressive sales tactics left me disappointed.
Upon checking in, I was invited to a presentation about a new building, which piqued my interest as I planned to return. However, it quickly became a high-pressure timeshare pitch. Despite repeatedly saying “no” to the first representative, I was handed off to another, Chris, to “sign out.” Instead, he offered a free room upgrade for minor stay issues, enticing me to stay longer.
The pitch dragged on, and after hours, Chris presented a membership deal slashed by 70%, claiming I could cancel within five business days. Pressured and exhausted, I signed, losing half a vacation day. When I tried to cancel, I was hit with a shocking $16,000 cancellation fee, and staff even threatened to call security. After tense hours of negotiations, a director offered to cancel for $700, citing the “free” upgrade. This consumed another vacation day, leaving me frustrated.
Other guests later confirmed this was a common timeshare tactic, using manipulation to extract money. The lack of transparency was infuriating, tainting an otherwise enjoyable stay. I urge future guests to avoid any “presentations” offered at check-in—they’re timeshare traps.

Wonderful property! Wished I had booked a longer stay to enjoy more of the amenities. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. The mixed drinks could have been better but that didn’t take away from a great time that was spent.
