Medplaya Hotel Riudor - Adults Recommended

It was nice to stay . Room was bit small but still nice and clean room. Breakfast & dinner was ok because no many choices for vegetarian & gluten tolerance

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very nice and tasty also they had plenty to offer for breakfast. It was in a good location from the beach and local nightlife

I will try and write a balanced review of my experience that I hope will help people when they look at the Riudor for their holiday. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout, beautifully decorated and with plenty of comfy seats both in Reception and in the bar area. A small book stand to pick a book and return when finished was great for me, as I flew with only hand luggage and couldn't fit one in. The room was exceptionally spacious with two balconies, a huge bathroom and again, spotlessly clean. I had a club room and got bathrobes and slippers and a fridge, with a free safe. All staff I came across were friendly, and attentive especially in the dining room. Now to the food. I have read reviews that slate the food. I have no idea why. The choice was huge, from salads of all descriptions, pasta and rice salads, dips, coleslaws, and at least of choice of ten hot dishes on the buffet, some cooked in front of you, chicken, fish, paella, stews, one night was roast beef and Yorkshire's, and steak pie, alongside Spanish pork loin and a fish stew, various hot chicken dishes, a curry dish and a chilli con carne, and different types of potatoes.. Factor in various rolls, cooked meats, soup and desserts and if you cannot find something to eat then self catering would probably better for you. Breakfast was the same, so much choice, eggs cooked fresh in front of you, and all the makings of a full English or a continental type. Now for my gripes. I arrived at 9 and asked to upgrade to AI, which on reflection I maybe should have done the next morning as I was so tired, there was no food available in the hotel and I didn't want to go out at that time, so ended up with a chocolate bar from the machine, which, as I had been on the go all day travelling was not great. My 2nd floor room overlooked a noisy bar, I knew the location was lively when I booked, but various reviews had said you couldn't hear it with the balcony doors closed. If you are across from the Waikiki bar you most definitely can..until 3am! Also, some confusion over the AI, I was just given a wristband, not told anything about different packages, so the AI stopped at 11, I wasn't told about upgrading to a more premium one. Also no snacks round the pool, maybe as out of season or again maybe due to not being the Premium package. Benidorm itself..I wouldn't rush to return. It's not great for me, was wary of going out at night, so I didn't, but if I ever did return it would be the Riudor again for me as I had a great time and the entertainment at night was top notch. Give Riudor a go! Lovely clean and bright hotel, friendly staff, I was glad I picked it. I had a great time, warm sunshine, and I am glad I went.

3rd Visit, it says it all! Super clean hotel,Adults only, buffet meals plenty of choice. Superb double glazing, with doors shut and ac on its very quiet. We found Talk of the Town the best club in Benidorm and close by Will be back on 2025 Superb team

Hubbie disabled so given adaptable room as requested. Room 303 facing Waikiki bar. Positives: 2 balconies and adapted shower with chair provided, grab rails around toilet and red emergency cord. Negatives: aircon awful! so hot at night! bathroom sink rectangle so took ages to fill(pointless!). Did NOT change bedding, just had bed made on request and we were there for 10nights! Housekeeping did empty bins, supply new towels and fill tea/coffee. LIFTS! Nightmare! Only 2 and 1 is for disabled, I times it a few times as it took between 15-20 mins to get to our floor for breakfast! I know this is the busiest but sometimes it passed our floor! I had to frequently go down to reception or dining to try to find the disabled lift then ride it up to our floor to get my wheelchair bound hubbie! To say i wasn’t happy! well!!! Breakfast was ok but dinner! tried it twice and then didn’t go back! ate out for dinner! even though paid for HB! Staff not friendly and didn’t interact at all with us! No assistance when they can see i was struggling! Only 1 lady in dining area helped us! But then some of the other guests were just as ignorant! The hotel overalls kept clean and tidy. But skip the folding you can. Plenty of sunbed and pool area very nice (pool is more for cooling off then swimming!) Location to the ***** is great as you are right in the action, we weren’t bothered about the noise even on the 3rd floor. Recommend Waikiki bar for drink deals. Overall for our first stay in Benidorm we would NOT stay at the Riudor again! The location is great but the food, staff and LIFTS let it down! My husband had to stop me from me from going down and kicking off several times as I was so angry! I am an Army Veteran with a disabled husband and I have no words for how extremely disappointed I was with this Hotel!!! Do Better Riudor!!!

Stayed here for a week and upgraded to the premium drink package.. As per QR Also the premium drinks finished at 1am where as the standard AI finished at 11 so people were paying for their drinks for that 2 hours. It was great getting Cider, although the first day I was charged 2.5 euro until I pointed out it should be free Bar staff were great Restaurant staff were mostly ok except a couple who didnt look like they wanted to be there Food - No complaints except always hard rolls. Would have been good to have soft ones especially for breakfast - Breakfast sausages, eggs etc were good. Rest was ok - Lunch and Evening there was always plenty of choice which I was surprised with - Snack bar was good as well - Entertainment was ok - Location was ok for bars etc and not that far to walk to old town. Maybe 20mins Issues were - While walking down the stairs to catch family a cleaner sweeping the floor walked right in front of me which I wasnt happy about. Had to walk around her and she acted like it was my fault. - Hairdryer didn't work but did manage to get it to work on last day - Shower was a nightmare, went from freezing water to scolding. Never had a decent shower all week and the tap wasnt great for hot water - Room cleaning wasnt great, didnt seem to do much cleaning other than swapping towels. Dirty knife and glasses left for days on end. - Reception staff also poor and didnt seem like they wanted to help - Very noisy at nights even with door closed - No air con so room was very hot Think good points outweighed the bad points or I would have given it 3 stars.
