Close to the beach, the position is good.

We stayed here for a long weekend , spotlessly clean thru out , friendly , polite and professional staff , food was buffets , from breakfast to evening meals , with plenty of choice to cater for all tastes , rooms on the smallish side but saying that enough room to relax and get ready , beds really comfy and made up everyday with fresh n clean bedding ,

Had a great 11 night stay. Our room was 1002 which was at the back overlooking the pool and mountains. We had 2 double beds and a large balcony. There was plenty of storage and the shower was hot and powerful. The room was dated with textured walls and needed a deep clean ( skirting boards) but overall it was great. The lack of a kettle in the room and no sun on the balcony are probably our only criticism. The buffet food was good and varied - the show cooking meat was always cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. Staff were friendly and very efficient when clearing tables - maybe too quick sometimes. The Xmas and New year Gala meals were not to our taste so we declined them - would have preferred a buffet option rather than a set menu. Breakfast as always was the best meal of the day - however they do not offer omelette at breakfast which was disappointing ( they tend to be available for lunch and dinner- vegetarian?) We didn't stay in for the entertainment so cannot comment. The terrace bar is a lovely spot to sit in the sun and enjoy a drink. Reception staff were very friendly and check in was very quick. The lifts are quite small and had a few issues whilst we were there - but they were fixed quickly and we never waited too long for one. The pool area is a good size and we spent a few hours most mornings enjoying the sunny corner spot before the sun dipped behind the Flash hotel ( bear in mind it was Xmas). We were lucky with the weather but definitely needed a light jacket in the evenings when outside. For location and value for money it is a fabulous hotel. I preferred it to the Don Pancho and would definitely stay at The Calypso again.

Stayed here for 3 nights with friends, Absolutely fantastic for a 3 star hotel - rooms a little dated now however they were pristinely clean Staff wonderful and helpful We stayed full board and food was decent Pool area is one of the better ones in Benidorm - plenty of beds, clean and tidy and sun all day Would definitely stay here again

Would recommend this hotel rated 3 star but much better. Rooms basic but spotless linen and towels changed daily. Food good only did B and B but plenty of choice. Pool area very clean pool bar good.Only negative I can give beds a bit uncomfortable and towels could do with renewing some a bit thread bare But would stop again
