This small hotel sits on the panicle of the Old town square across from the Church. The reception is excellent with glass fronted windows over looking the sea with Benidorm beach front stretching into the distance. The Hotel staff are all excellent with an engrained culture to help and make you feel welcome. The Restaurant is inside our outside and offers a wide range of food, but will meet your personal expectations if you ask. The breakfast is especially good and not to be missed. The Seagulls and local cat hover a little but generally are not a big problem. The room we had was a Superior room. The size of about 50 m2 was a little disappointing, but a comfortable bed and two chairs and a table met our adequate needs. Not so the hanging space in a very small wardrobe. I had to remove the ironing board to provide enough space for just our three day space, together with three very small drawers at the bottom of the wardrobe.. There was no information pack. Information was sparse, and generally relied on small posts around the room. We counted 16 in total spread here and there. Some were printed in small print making them difficult to read. This deficiency was compounded when we were unable to work out how the coffee machine worked and where the NASA designed shower refused to work. Both we finally overcame, but it would have been easier to have an instruction book. The biggest disappointment was the Gym and the sun terrace on the top floor. We are keep fit people and a gym is an important part of our holiday, even if it’s a short one like our three day break. The gym consisted of three cardiac machines one of which did not work, in a tiny 15 m2 area. A Jacuzzi and tiny sauna were unnecessary addition, resulting in a tiny space. No mats, no free weights. It is an illegal claim to call this a gym and if we had known how poor it was we would not have chosen this hotel. The sun terrace was equally poor. Three sun beds and a small number of soft seats in a brown drab environment is no conciliation to the poor gym. There was a plunge pool, no swimming pool, but again falls short of a five star expectation. To sum up, This Hotel is very clean and has brilliant staff, the room is small but comfortable with good amenities. The Restaurant and dinning areas are very good but if it’s a pool and gym you want this is not the hotel for you.
