Apartamentos Playamar

First time in these apartments and wasn't disappointed. Booked in smoothly and had apartment 10a. Really impressed with the interior and couldn't find anything we didn't like. Nice galley kitchen with storage room at the end. Bathroom was lovely with full walk in shower with two shower heads. One a fixed overhead shower with flexible handheld shower fixed to it. Perfect for if you don't want to get your hair wet. Bedroom, massive, with 2 full and a half wardrobe on one wall. Nice corner window with a view of the open air market. Living room with dining table in it was huge as well. Plenty of room for 4 people to move about in. Lovely long balcony with side views and had the sun from about 10.30am till sunset. Perfect. Pool was good and bar, side of pool and seating area, had very reasonable prices. Lager 2.50, Copperberg 3.00 euros each. Gem we found was the bar you walk past to get to the apartments gave you tapas with a beer. Wonderful. Would we stay here again?? Already booked again for next year. Highly recommended. Had to change the towels and bedding ourselves but not an inconvenience. Loved it.

First trip to Benidorm so didn’t know what to expect from a hotel there. Wife and myself and 6 others in the party were pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean and well run the hotel was. Efficient and friendly staff, all speaking very good English. Room was spotless on entry and rather bigger than most rooms I have stayed in. A previous review mentioned shower mats… that would be a good idea. Pool area is small but it’s only a 15 min walk to beach so no worries there. Changed towels when we liked without charge as well. Wi-Fi was excellent as well. The coconut bar was well Worth patronizing, quality food at good prices. All in all a lovely weeks holiday and we will go back to this hotel.

Just home from a fantastic week in Benidorm. Flew with easy jet. The transfer was ridiculous. We got dropped off at hotel Mellia, at 2.30am, asked driver of the bus where the apartments were, he said left and left, but we had no idea where we were going. Thankfully there was a taxi nearby so got this. Think this should be advised that you don't get dropped off at the actual apartments. The staff at the apartments when we got in were fantastic. They all were the whole week. Very friendly and helpful. The apartments were basic, which we knew when we booked it, but had everything we needed they were very comfortable and clean. Only 10 minutes to the start of bars and restaurants. A lovely wee bar just next door coconut bar which was a good stop off on way back in the afternoon. Great staff in there. Fantastic holiday had in Benidorm, forgot how good it was

what a great hotel stopped here 11 nights and couldn’t fault anything a really clean hotel. the pool area is great loads of sun beds and a bar were the drinks are cheap. would defo come back here loved it . it is only 10 mins walk to all the pubs and lots of nice restaurants nearby

Hotel clean tidy and lovely staff except one lady On arrival you have to pay €50.00 per person, but if only two people minimum is €150.00 per room. Aircon is £10.00 a day and only in frontroom area. Safe is €8.00 a day. Staff on 24hrs a day and bar open 24hrs. Pool open 10am- 8pm. Staff was all good except one lady who was grumpy and not very good at customer service and popped/binned peoples stuff if left by the pool unattended. Small pool but never had a problem finding somewhere to sit. Drinks start at €2.00 Vending machines in the area were easy to use cash and cards. The hotel was very clean in all areas. Lifts are always in working order. Had days when could ask for clean bedding and towels. Rooms- was very hot as aircon was only in one room, the beds were comfortable and lots of storage and plugs. Table and pull-out bed in the main area and outside balcony with good size. The bathroom shower was good and clean. The kitchen wasn’t the best for self-catering no oven, small fridge and hardly any freezer space, only two hobs, a mircowave, kettle and toaster, and tea towel. Have to take own rubbish out to main bin on the roadside. Local bar restaurant next to the hotel. The local market is around the corner and about a 30-minute walk to the beach and shops. Only local corner shops to buy food no supermarkets close. Waterpark/zoo best to get a taxi but worth going.

Can't fault this resort for the price, rooms are very basic but clean and done the job. The staff were fantastic, always helpful and smiling whilst doing 3 jobs at the once. Pool area was clean and well laid out with a well priced bar on site. At the front of the resort is the Coconut Bar that served fantastic well priced food as well as great cocktails. The staff were fantastic there as well, would most definitely return, keep up the good work 👍
