Apartamentos Avenida

We are just back from a week here with the full board option at the restaurant in the hotel across the street. I cannot fault this place. We had a 1 bedroom apartment facing out the back, we did ask for a street view but when we got in I realised the back facing rooms still had a balcony which we were more than happy with (as smokers). The apartment was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed, not that we cooked as we had our meals over the road. It is a bit dated but this didn’t bother us at all. The staff in both the apartments and hotel were phenomenal, so friendly and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. On our arrival they told us that we could get a packed lunch for the airport heading home which was a nice surprise to us. There was a deposit of €100 when we checked in and we got this back on check out. It is only payable by cash but they take either euros or pounds which if I knew I probably would have paid in pounds but it wasn’t the end of the world. The food in the restaurant was lovely, I was a bit sceptical about it however there was always lots of options, show cooking, pastas, salads and soup. The deserts were lovely too. The wine was very cheep in the restaurant and the beer was reasonably priced. We visited the roof top pool and terrace once but as it was January didn’t use the pool. It seemed lovely too. I would definitely stay here again as the price we paid and what we got was fantastic.

We stayed in the avenida apartments from 19th September until the 26th. We’ve stayed before and always found it lovely and clean. The first night we arrived we was told our room we requested wasn’t available due to a fault, which can’t be helped. So was told to stay a night in the hotel. No problems with this other than wanting to unpack and settle, but again can’t be helped. The day after we could move to room 411 and was told this was as equally a nice a room as the one we had originally requested. It was horrendous. The floors were filthy, every other tile was smashed, the bathroom only had a shower which was dirty. The room itself was directly next to the elevator which was so loud even in the middle of the day. My partner suffers from frequent migraines so the constant noise of the lift would be a literal pain. So after complaining to a lady at reception who was rude, we changed rooms to 409. This room was slightly cleaner other than the cigarette ash all over the bathroom floor, the broken sofa arm, the air conditioning not fully working, the toilet on a continuous flush and the cockroaches that would run out towards your feet. This was a better room. We headed back to the hotel as we still had our key for the room and had left a case in there. To open the door to a woman getting changed and her husband unpacking all while they ignored our suitcase in the corner. Apparently they’ll move someone in whilst your bed is still warm 👍🏻 About night 2 of our holiday we got a stag party next door of about 6/7 lads. Even though stag/hen groups aren’t allowed, this was allowed. They was very noisy and played music until very late at night right next to the wall for our bedroom. At this point we didn’t know what was better noise, the stag group or the lift (at least the lift made different noises compared to the stag group playing the same 3 songs). One of the days we decided to go into the hotel for our lunch for half an hour to come back to our towels folded at the bar. It’s one rule for one here and one for another apparently. Other guests who would leave their towel a few hours to come back to it still on their lounger but we go for lunch in THEIR hotel and they move our towels 🙃 Very disappointing to say the least. When we’ve paid quite a lot for our holiday and was given below sub-par it’s shocking. It really ruined our holiday and as a treat for my birthday it spoiled that too

We are here at the moment and awaiting a room change. We are here for 2 weeks and our balcony faces a brick wall. The apartment is very basic and outdated but has everything we need except a hairdryer but can easily purchase one. The bed mattress is one of those very cheap ones where you can feel the springs. Yes you get what you pay for, I get that but just a few small changes would make these apartments much more appealing.

We were originally given an inward facing apartment but requested a street view and Oscar the very helpful receptionist organised this for us (among lots of other things he was so helpful) the apartment was very clean we didn’t see a single cockroach (kept the plugs in all sinks) we were in 406 and overlooked the street which gave us an amazing view, especially when the fiesta started. The location is amazing in the old town close to all the shops, bars and tapas alley. This is not the Ritz but for what we paid we absolutely loved it here, we were half board and couldn’t fault choice and quality of food at hotel. Evening entertainment in hotel is aimed mostly at older generation but there is plenty to do close by. I would recommend these apartments!

Fantastic stay in the heart of the old town. The location is superb, 2 minutes walk to the beach, with an array of shops, bars and restaurants within footsteps of the door. Good breakfast at the 4* sister hotel opposite with access to their pool etc too. The apartment was dated (didn’t mind!) but clean, tidy and with everything you need, including a large fridge freezer and cooking facilities. On the small side but plenty big enough for the two of us. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely few days!

I was very happy with the apartment it was in a great location spacious very clean a huge balcony I have been to the Hotel before so I thought I’d give the apartments a try glad I did the only drawback the beds could be better but overall it’s very good value and as mentioned the staff are really great and work very efficiently. the food has a very good selection at all meals. I must give a special mention to Lucien on the hotel reception who did go the extra mile he’s an asset to the Hotel was a great help when I took sick and needed to find a doctor a very nice man indeed I will definitely be back .

The Avenida Apartnents are perfectly situated in Benidorm’s old town. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful both those on reception and those on the cleaning staff. Although the apartments are basic and could benefit from a touch up they are sufficient for a good stay in Benidorm. They are spotlessly clean and the towels are changed regularly. All in all a good place to stay of your don’t want to be too near the huddle and buddies of the busy resort.

First Class - 100% staff and accommodation, extremely helpful. We arrived earlier than planned and they made arrangements to help us. The cleaning staff were also amazing and made sure we had clean sheets and towels as we needed. Reception staff were so helpful and courteous.

I went for a solo trip last month and chose here due to its fab location. I did email in advance asking for a top floor room with a street view but I got neither which was a bit frustrating. Pros Brilliant location, in the heart of everything in the old town The apartments are very spacious, loads of room The beds are surprisingly comfy Cons The walls are very thin and you can actually hear conversations in other rooms They rooms are very dated, especially the bathroom. While the staff weren't unhelpful I didn't find them too friendly either Paying 100 euros deposit seems very steep. Overall its fine and if you want a cheap and cheerful stay in a great location you can't go wrong. If you want a bit more luxury you may want to pay more and stay somewhere else.
