Hotel la Luna

After many nights spent in riads in the old medinas of Morocco, I appreciated a clean modern room with functional fittings. My grumbles are few but in a room intended for two, why would one have to ask for a second glass, a second towel? What really spoiled the night for us was the guest in the floor above. Clearly, money has been saved, on ceiling boards; and the floors are tiled, so when someone scrapes a chair in and out and in and out, a screech pierces the silence in the room below. Hotel staff must surely be primed that whenever possible they should out guests in alternate rooms on different floors. The hotel has a very nice coffee bar.

The rooms are outdated, bathroom is just dirty, breakfast is almost nothing, staff looks and work like they don’t want to be there at all. When ordering an espresso and a coke, they brought two espressos, they didn’t want to fix it, we had to pay for both. The bathroom was not cleaned well, there were still hairs from the previous people in the shower and water on the floor. The rooms are supposed to be sound proof, but definitely aren’t, sound on the hallway the entire night, and you hear the snoring of other guests in the hotel from different floors. Curtains are also broken, and don’t make it any darker in the room. The windows are not sound proof at all either, you hear everything (ok, it’s a city we don’t expect it to be quiet at all, but this was next level). When checking out the price of the room was higher than showcased on *********** (by 10% approximately).
