Loved our powered site, mostly very quiet and private. The en suite was fantastic but would have loved mop/broom to keep floor clean. Linen supplied was a wonderful surprise. Owners super friendly and obliging as were staff. Had fun in the Spa! BBQ's disappointing as they required payment to operate (owner was more than happy to pay the toll, thanks Ian!) Will be back in the future.

Last stay here I was up the back row of rooms parallel with the train track and didn't enjoy it. This time they put me in the main building on the second floor, so the room was far newer and no train noises to worry about. Only thing I didn't like was the door between two rooms, as next door it sounded like several young people were having a get together/small party, as very noisy! Otherwise the room was very spacious, clean and fine as was. Plenty of parking around, looked like enough for every room, which was better than some other accommodations I have stayed at in Bendigo. Restaurant was closed at the time due to covid, so not even room service available, but some local takeaways still delivered instead. There was no breakfast available at the time, either, due to covid. I would consider staying here again, but not in a room near the train track!!

I ordered 3 rooms for the weekend for 6 adults. Needed a queen, double and family room. Booked online and received a confirmation email of the three room booking. We would arrive Saturday and leave Sunday. I booked 3 weeks in advance. On Thursday before the weekend I got a phone call from the hotel. It was explained they only had two rooms available. I explained I need 3 rooms and was told there was nothing else available. No apology, nothing, in fact I found the man who called quite rude considering it is the hotels error. Simply all I could get was those two rooms. Poor work on the hotels behalf as apparently my booking only had 2 rooms. I have attached part of the confirmation for my booking. Confirming the three rooms, which I booked on the hotels website so their only excuse is they lost part of my reservation. DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR RESERVATION LOST TWO DAYS BEFORE YOU ARE MEANT TO ARRIVE!!

Facilities: After all, it is an old hotel with a good location. There are entertainment and dining areas on the first floor, and the rooms are large. I saw that there were double rooms, but suddenly it was no longer available. It feels strange to have 2 people sleeping in 3 beds
Hygiene: It's OK, clean and tidy, but it doesn't feel like it is regularly maintained
Environment: Classic, good location, close to the train station, within walking distance
Service: There is no front desk reception, and you only need to throw the key into a box when checking out. It is convenient

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Oval Motel Bendigo. A beautifully renovated original sixties motel impeccably maintained by the lovely hosts. The rooms are well appointed and there is a wide range of drinks and snacks available directly to your room. The breakfast was very reasonably priced and delivered to the hatch in your room. Just like the golden days of motel accommodation I remember as a kid. Highly recommended!

Great stay, easy check in, rooms cleaned daily even though we were a mess 🤣 We stayed in Bendigo to watch our son at the National Youth Volleyball championships so we were in and out all week. Barclay on View was ideal as we were able to walk to all the restaurants and shops etc. along with the beautiful parks and gardens of Bendigo. And it was just a short drive to the Red Energy Arena. Thankyou!!!

We have stayed at the property before, largely because of its very convenient location. We were going to the ‘Paris - Impressions of Life’ exhibition at the Bendigo Art Gallery, which is just over the road. The rooms are small and the bathroom tiny so OK for a night or two, but not longer. Also, Room 1, where we were, would benefit from an additional bedside light. Having only one is not very satisfactory. On this last occasion there were a fair few ants inside - unusual at the cusp of autumn and winter. On a more positive note, we did have a very good meal at Wine Bank on View, which is at the front of Allawah.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 2 nights while we attended the Red hot summer Tour concert. Upon check in the staff member was lovely and directed us to our room . The room is easily accessible with a car park at the front of room. The room accommodated our family of 4 perfectly with 2 double beds, bathroom and area to relax. The only downfall was no microwave in room.Tea and coffee making facilities and roster were available. We were disappointed that the on-site resturant was closed while we were there but this allowed us to explore other food options in Bendigo. The pool and bbq area were adequate and a spa and sauna is also in the area all indoors. Everyone working for the hotel were very friendly. Great place to stay.

Absolutely fantastic service from extraordinary staff. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and all the dishes were scrumptious and beautifully presented. Wine tasting was intimate, good fun and provided great detail on the wines we were interested in. The cottage we stayed in was spotless ,comfortable, modern and well presented. Enjoyed the walking track around the winery and shobrt drive to Bendigo the next day to have a look around. We loved our little get away.

LLISHIMust look at this hotel by Motel standards. The location is not in the city center, you must have a car. Best and cleanest motel I've ever stayed in. It's a local resort type, the restaurant's meal is good, and steak is eaten. There are also bars, Pokies and swimming pools. Many old people spend their time here. It is suitable for a day or 2 days off in the middle of a self-driving tour. Bendigo is really not a place to play, there is no need to come here specially.

GGuest UserThis place is just out of the main area. It's probably a 30min (1hr rtn) walk, so it's best with a car. Plenty of undercover parking. We had room 22 and it is 4 steps from the pool gate. There was kids playing in the pool and we had very little noise. Every room that we can see had good access to the pool, no dirt/grass/tar/gravel areas to cross to have a dip. The rooms are large as is the bathroom. Very clean with comfortable bed and choice of pillows. Hotel is quiet so you should get a good night's sleep. Coles supermarket is about a 3min drive and main shopping area is about 5mins drive from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

NNav NatI stay two nights in total at the Mercure Bendigo Schaller during Grand Prix Weekend. This was my first time travelling to Bendigo. I was very satisfied with the outstanding customer service and the very friendly staff here at the hotel. Location of hotel was good with central access to everything in town. Rooms are quite small and bathroom is almost like a dorm but I must say it was very clean. It would be great if there was a streaming service or casting available with the TV. My Bed was a little uncomfortable but I still managed to sleep in. There is very limited car spaces availble on site but parking is availble next door to hospital and is only $8 a day. Overall I was quite satisfied with everything and enjoyed my time here in Bendigo. I will most likely stay here again and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

CChristina RWe stayed here for one night and the bed was comfortable and the amenities clean and the service was great. We also enjoyed our stay there with a delicious meal from their restaurant. It was a wonderful way to complete our overnight stay with a great meal and the service was excellent here also. I enjoyed a beautiful Caesar Salad with chicken. They have a wide selection of choices for you to choose from as well as an excellent range of wines and non alcholic drinks. It is within easy walking distance of Bendigo City as it is just located on the outskirts of the inner CBD - so location and a great service and wonderful food makes it a great place to stay.
