Quality Hotel Lakeside
4.2/5102 Reviews
This motor inn is now called Lakeside, locating it the property by its name certainly was confusing. Despite paying for a lake view room with a balcony , I was booked in to an old box room overlooking a carpark and missing a balcony. The bathroom floor floods after each shower and the cold slippery floor tiles are definitely a hazard as the little square of bath mat isn’t adequate. This is the first time I am not assigned the type of room I have paid for through Trip. Perhaps I will think twice making the same booking again.

Facilities: After all, it is an old hotel with a good location. There are entertainment and dining areas on the first floor, and the rooms are large. I saw that there were double rooms, but suddenly it was no longer available. It feels strange to have 2 people sleeping in 3 beds Hygiene: It's OK, clean and tidy, but it doesn't feel like it is regularly maintained Environment: Classic, good location, close to the train station, within walking distance Service: There is no front desk reception, and you only need to throw the key into a box when checking out. It is convenient

The experience was not good. The water cup was placed in the refrigerator. I didn't see any problems at first. When the cup was placed at room temperature, I found that the inner wall of the cup was very dirty, and there was a layer of white foam after pouring water. The faucet of the bathroom basin was leaking, and there was already green moss at the drain. The sound insulation in the room was very poor. The sound of the mobile flatbed truck in the restaurant downstairs was very noisy. The curtain track was broken, resulting in poor shading. The hair dryer was broken. The overall decoration was old. At first, the microwave and the kettle had no power, and the front desk quickly came to change the power key.
Allawah Bendigo

We have stayed at the property before, largely because of its very convenient location. We were going to the ‘Paris - Impressions of Life’ exhibition at the Bendigo Art Gallery, which is just over the road. The rooms are small and the bathroom tiny so OK for a night or two, but not longer. Also, Room 1, where we were, would benefit from an additional bedside light. Having only one is not very satisfactory. On this last occasion there were a fair few ants inside - unusual at the cusp of autumn and winter. On a more positive note, we did have a very good meal at Wine Bank on View, which is at the front of Allawah.

The room is clean. It has a nice pool and spa. Good customer service and enjoyed the food at the Bistro.

The hotel is a kind of motel, the location is a bit away from the city, but the hotel suites are good, there are microwave ovens and tableware, you can bring food to heat or buy microwave ovens in the local supermarket.
