We stayed at the hotel for two weeks in early January. We took two rooms with and without air conditioning. The rooms with air conditioning are on the less sunny side and are cooler in themselves. The windows of the rooms in the middle overlook the neighboring house 10 meters away, on the sides they overlook the road and the garden. The beeping can be heard from all the rooms, both with and without air conditioning. The rooms with a fan are hotter because they are on the sunnier side, the windows overlook the side road. We slept well, we didn’t pay attention to the beeping of transport, but sometimes they burned garbage nearby at night and this really interfered with sleep because acrid smoke penetrated the windows. Everything in the hotel is old, but it works! Wi-Fi was almost always there, it works in the rooms. They cleaned every day, it is clean! The linen was changed every other day. We were satisfied with everything. Keep in mind that the hotel is 1 star. You really have to wait for breakfast, it took us about 40 minutes for breakfast. The menu includes all kinds of eggs, cereal with milk, sandwiches. If you take eggs, then they give you two more toasts. In general, it is not chic, but tolerable. The location of the hotel is not suitable for everyone. It is really 15-20 minutes to the sea ***** a busy road without sidewalks. I knew about this, I was attracted by the infrastructure near the hotel. In the evening, you can always go to a cafe nearby. A tuk-tuk driver took us to the beach and back and longer distances. I made arrangements with him on the first day after arriving. We had dinner in different places. Inexpensive and tasty at the Nepalese, the first cafe from the Kadara supermarket opposite the tuk-tuk parking lot. We spent all the time in the morning and afternoon in the blue corner. It is from the main entrance to the right. There are mainly Europeans, very quiet, comfortable, good sun loungers. And most importantly, very tasty food. The prices are slightly higher than in other cafes, but the food is much tastier and the level of comfort is much better. We are in Benaulim 3 times. The Failaka Hotel for its price is a pleasant discovery for me.

The main (principal) reason why I do not recommend this hotel is the road to the beach... I have repeatedly timed the time to the beach - 20 minutes at an average pace (at a leisurely pace you will walk for half an hour), and those who write that it takes 10 minutes probably ran on the roofs of cars or rode a moped. But a 20-minute walk to the beach is not so bad. The main thing is what kind of road it is!!! Let me explain... Guys, this road is really dangerous for driving, they can drive on your feet or even worse like two fingers on the asphalt. The traffic (on that very road to the beach) is terrible there, cars, mopeds, motorcycles and other, other equipment... There are no rules (whoever honks louder is right), half of the passing honks personally to you (like I'm driving here, look), you only have time to dodge so as not to be hit (mostly the width of the road is 3-4 meters). And most likely, you will have to walk this road four times a day (it is terribly hot on the beach from 11:00 to 15:00, so in the morning until lunch there and back and, accordingly, after lunch ***** the same route, complete trash). / ABOUT THE HOTEL The hotel is tiny, the territory is clean, green. The staff is normal. On the day of arrival, they did not offer either breakfast or water (four days later, when tourists arrived, they had breakfast). In the evening, according to the words of the arriving tourists, it turned out that there was no hot water in their room and there were some problems with the TV (then they seemed to fix it). There are no Russian-speaking channels (there is basically nothing to watch). Wi-Fi only works at the reception. The staff does not speak Russian (he explained himself with his fingers or through a translator). Of course, there is no pool or bar either. / ROOM The rooms are small, the doors are flimsy, the furniture is old, the curtains are dirty, the water has a smell. The linen closet is less than a meter high (indicated in the photo), so we place the trousers in it in half. Well, this is a deuce in India, what can you expect!? / FOOD An omelette or beans of your choice, plus tea. Overall, not much. After 5 days, I stopped going to them for breakfast altogether (everything there takes too long, until you wake up, until they come to you, until they fry the omelette) in general, you lose about an hour...). I bought pineapples on the street (100 rubles each), tomatoes (30 rubles per kg), and other little things...that was enough. / BEACH The beach is good (people specially trained in this craft clean it), the sand is clean, crunchy underfoot. The water is very warm and has an impressive wave. Dogs lie on the beach, sometimes run, sometimes bark (in sparsely populated areas they periodically show aggression). I didn't eat in cafes (shacks) on the beach (this isn't my first time in India, I've been inside these shacks a couple of times before, I won't comment on all the horror I saw, go in and see what's going on there, you'll understand everything yourself). It would be better to eat in cafes in the village itself. / Money is exchanged in many shops in the village, both dollars and euros and even our strong ruble, take your pick. I don't recommend exchanging money in just one shop (on the right side of the road), I indicated it in the photo as an exchanger. The *** there is very impudent and plump, he takes a foreign banknote from you, and then says he doesn't have any small ones now and gives you only large bills, respectively
