We were a large group of Americans and stayed for 3 nights at this lovely cozy gite. There are dorm style rooms and also family rooms with bunks and double beds. All of that was great but the real magic was in the common room and in the food. The common room was available for us to congregate and hang out together and was so comfortable with a fireplace and sofa in addition to the table. The food was divine and I was especially thrilled, as the only vegan in the group, to have a creative and delicious meal every night. It was so wonderful to be treated to that in France. This was close to absolutely magnificent hikes and was perfect for our group!.

Quality place for hikers, especially at the start or finish of a journey in the Vallée des Merveilles. The reception is good. The establishment is large with a well-equipped dormitory portion as well as a bedroom portion, comfortable and very clean. The meals offered on site are very good and comforting for the exhausted walker, as is the bar service. The terrace is also a beautiful place to enjoy it. Finally, the traveler must have a vehicle to get there. There is no longer a shuttle service connecting the villages located 15 km further down (Roquebilliere) - Without a car, it will cost you 45 to 80 euros in a taxi (!) or a fairly grueling walk more of 4 hours.

A warm, caring welcome in a wonderful setting. Many hiking possibilities for all levels, night of the stars activity sometimes, traditional lunch with excellent ravioli, I will come back with great pleasure

Came as a family on August 28/29/30, 2022 with my wife and my two sons, we had an excellent first meal for Sunday lunch! Served in a superb environment and by a lovely waitress. It felt good for the future, unfortunately... As we were staying several days we had taken the half-board option. Well, the half board option isn't great, you see... There's a lot to eat, it's even gargantuan in our opinion. So yes, this quantity may please a certain clientele but we prefer to have a little less but more flavorful... So let's be clear, some products are of good quality (chicken, lamb) but the bulgur salad is very filling where we look for something other than the bulgur itself or the big cup of fromage blanc or the industrial fruit salad for dessert, are all things that spoil the party a little. And it’s ultimately quite expensive for what it is, this half board. So of course, it CANNOT be as good as à la carte but hey, a bit basic. ! As for breakfast, unfortunately it's the worst: Industrial charcuterie, industrial brie type cheese, industrial sweet butter, industrial honey, industrial white sugar, etc....but why?!!! Is there not a small producer of local honey or artisanal jams in the area? Since the establishment says it plays the card of quality local products, why not follow through on the process? Then we pay half board for four people and we only have two towels and a pair of sheets. Children count for nothing. This story about sheets is not clear and apparently I read another opinion which raised this same question... Well in fact we have to pay extra to see our children sleep in sheets and be able to dry off after the shower! Not very clear I tell you, we don't really understand the why and the how. Come on, now the best for last: whoever sees the boss smiling takes a photo, it’s collector’s item!!! A shame for an owner when you see his employees so friendly and smiling. We almost want to imagine job interviews for seasonal workers where we would say to them: ABOVE ALL, YOU’RE SMILING, eh?! Well the employees are very cheerful, it’s a shame that the manager doesn’t lead by example. I admit that this annoyed me a lot because I am extremely sensitive to the welcome being a trader myself, and in order not to inconvenience the customers on site and to spare my children a little rant I said nothing about the moment and I swallowed my pride, But for the first time I wanted to point it out by posting this review because it's a really cold welcome. I read several other reviews on trip advisor regarding this establishment which referred to this! So I didn't dream, it's a recurring problem... Really a shame because the place is very good, the environment sublime, the room with

Came with the family on August 28/29/30, 2022 with my wife and my two sons, we had a first meal for Sunday lunch, excellent! Served in a superb environment and by a lovely waitress. It smelled good for the rest, alas… As we were staying several days, we had taken the half-board formula. Well, it's not terrible the half-board formula you see... There's a lot to eat, but frankly it's very average compared to the meal offered à la carte. So of course, half board CANNOT be as good as the card but there, it's basic and expensive for what it is! When at breakfast, be careful, it hurts your eyes. Industrial charcuterie, industrial soft butter, industrial honey, industrial white sugar (necessarily) do you want more?!… Then, we pay half board for four people and we only have two towels and a pair of sheets. Children count for butter (sweet or salted butter?!) Well, we have to pay extra to see our children sleeping in sheets and being able to dry off after the shower! When cleaning, a little advice to the technical staff: also vacuum under the bed, it's better! Come on, the best for last: whoever sees the boss smiling sends us a photo, it's collector's items!!! A shame for an owner when you see his employees so friendly and smiling. Really a shame because the place is very good, the environment sublime and the products of the à la carte restaurant very good, with real know-how. We have the impression that half-board is there to fill the coffers… Dear Valentin and Léa D, we do not know each other and I do not remember having seen you during our stay, but I read on the site du Relais des M that you were the next generation…we will then, in our opinion, have to correct all that to make this place the little nugget that it should be. And above all, don't follow Jean-Paul's example, SMILE!!! It's the least of politeness when we do a job of reception and that we give you our money. Too bad! Etienne and Romy A-G

Bref parfait
