Ruggardly beautiful location, spectacular views. Thoroughly enjoyed the tidy campsite, with firewood provided. The toilet was clean and well maintained. The dogs enjoyed their visit, was a pleasure to have them along. 4WD tracks are well made and a lot of effort obviously put in to build and maintain them. Bushwalking track through the creeks came with wildlife surprises, an echidna, Sleepy lizards and captivating colour changes on the eucalyptus bark. Geology throughout the region varied and interesting.

We went there under what we feed were false pretences after reading their internet site. The Bendleby Ranges is poorly targeted in the way they market the experience. The reference to bushwalking is inappropriate. Yes, at sunset its a lovely place to walk around, but its really for people who want to go 4 wheel driving, not walking. Its a 40+ km drive out there on an OK gravel road, crossing large washaways with steep entry and exit points. If it rained and you were towing a van there is no chance you would get across these crossings for a few days at least. Again a great experience (maybe) for the keen 4 wheel driver, but maybe not for other campers. The camp kitchen would be OK if you were a rouseabout or a shearer and looking forward to shade and a cold beer after 12 hours on the boards, but otherwise pretty poor standard. Toilet and shower facilities were really good. The Ensuite in a water tank is an interesting and novel idea. This expereince made us pretty cynical about who gets awards. Do people buy these tourism awards? Maybe as a rough and ready authentic (not sure?) outback experience might be an award category, but we felt duped.

By far our best experience this holiday, we stayed 3 nights & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great 4x4 driving with something for everyone & a great place to test & advance your skills. The camp sites are lovely rustic bush off grid but there's also accommodation & facilities to suit a wide variety of travellers. We really loved the showers, a brilliant idea & well executed. We will be back for more...

Absolutely amazing place to stay, the whole property is stunning. The lady at check in was so friendly and helpful in directing us to a remote site that not only would our large van fit but also a site that would be protected for the huge wind storm that was coming. We we absolutely be back again ! We loved it

A wonderful bush setting with a host of things to see and do. We stayed in our motorhome at a powered site with a nearby amenities unit. Every day a different and more beautiful vista was awesome. Our dogs were introduced to bush style camping and learned how to interact with native animals and natural environments. The 4wd tracks took us to panoramic sights that are unique and revitalising. We felt grounded in nature and understood something of belonging to the country.
