Great base for a golf trip to Belmullet. Central location, excellent rooms, friendly and helpful staff, with a busy restaurant and bar. 6 of us stayed for 2 nights and were very well looked after especially by Emma at reception and Monika in the restaurant.

Boutique hotel rather quirky. Staff were excellent. Breakfast and dinner was fine although dinner menu didn’t have a great selection. The room had some issues: the temperature control on the shower didn’t work and was scalding; the safe was a painful 5 inches above floor level; the retractable washing line was almost out of reach at 7 foot and 6 inches; the room and bathroom lighting was inadequate and you needed a torch to see in the wardrobe! We were lucky with on street parking but you could be faced with a long walk to/from your car. We did get moved to another room with a working shower.

One of the funkiest, nicest, friendliest hotels ever! We were welcomed with hugs and smiles & our stay only got better from there. The employees actually cared about how our visit to Belmullet was going. We loved everything about this place except our dinner (the dining room is gorgeous but the food wasn’t great; also, it’s known as a seafood hotel & there was no seafood!) I am already looking forward to my next visit to the Talbot!

We had lunch at the Talbot two years ago and vowed to return for a stay and we weren’t disappointed. Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful room, really comfy bed, spotlessly clean, good dinners. Kerrie couldn’t do enough serving breakfasts. Highly recommend.

Every part of our stay was brilliant. The rooms were spotless and beds were really comfortable. The reception staff were very efficient and so welcoming. The bar and restaurant staff were very good and food was lovely. Totally recommend this hotel and I look forward to going back for another stay.

There is nothing that I can fault about the Talbot except I should have stayed longer... I had a fantastic tome staying here with a group of 25 women, all sea swimmers. The hotel accommodated us so well.. breakfast was gorgeous as was our evening meal.. the bar is lovely and no problem with us staying late. The decor is lovely and the rooms/beds are very comfortable. Overall the staff were friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The tidal pool was our main attraction and is easily accessible on foot, an easy stroll of about 15minutes Will definitely visit again.

Lovely hotel in centre of Belmullet.....great accommodation, locvation and great food as per other reviews. However what really stood out was their above and beyond service, couple of examples included - I was in a party of 8 golfers, and in lead up to our visit the number and configuration of guests on the booking changed multiple times. Reservations and reception team could not have been more patient, helpful and accommodating. In their shoes, I would have lost my patience!! - we had early tee times, so potentially would have to skip breakfast (which was included in B&B rate). They arranged for us to pre-order the night before, advised the morning. restaurant staff and let us dine early.....everything was ready, and staff so determined to ensure we had a great day.....and by the way, the breakfast is cooked to order (ie not buffet) and superb

This is a fabulous hotel. I stayed with my 2 teenage daughters for 2 nights. The staff were very friendly and attentive from the receptionist who welcomed us to the breakfast staff and dinner/ restaurant and bar staff. The room was really clean and the pillows and bedding were so comfortable and soft.

Another fabulous stay at The Talbot Hotel ..our tenth year! Our room this year was perfect with a lovely comfortable four poster bed. Our thanks to all the staff, especially Mary and Kirsty, for making us feel so welcome. Looking forward to visiting again in 2025.
