We visited EcoBelmonte Albergo Diffuso end of november 2024 and everything was perfect! Gabriela and Gianfranco are great hosts, they thought of everything. For example, they had prepared a bed and a seat for our baby, without us asking for it. They also can tell you a lot about the town and the region, so you really get a feeling for it. The houses are beautifully renovated. Last but not least, Gabriela is an amazing cook. If you visit, you really have to ask for dinner at the Albergo!

What can we say? It was wonderful. The village is like a fairytale, as is the view to the sea. Gabriella and Gianfranco have created something very special. Our house was carefully renovated and very comfortable. We could’ve sat on the terrace forever. We also had dinner at their restaurant and this was also fantastic. We will dream of returning one day soon.

Simply beautiful, both the homes and atmosphere. From the bottom of the mountain looking up to Belmonte Calabro you can begin to anticipate the beauty awaiting you, and it doesn’t disappoint. We were welcomed by our gracious host, Gabriella, and given a tour with helpful background information on local sights and things to do. The home we chose was tastefully appointed and with the provided amenities more than met our needs. This little “community” of homes run by the hosts shows the care they put into making sure you have a great stay. Belmonte Calabro is the town of alleys and exploring the little side alleys is a great way to get the feel of this community. The people we came across were friendly and always willing to stop and talk, even with our limited Italian. This is also a great base for exploring Calabria by car. There are a lot of great day trips you can manage from here and Gabriella has a wealth of knowledge on what to do and see. The mountain towns are a great break from the crowds or explore the coast all the way to Sicily. Or just stay local and enjoy the town piazza and dinner at the restaurant, Anna’s cooking is incredible. Added bonus, on clear nights and when the volcano is cooperating, you can see lava plumes from Stromboli in the distance. My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary here and now wonder why it took us so long to come to this place. We will be back.

Truly a hidden gem located at the mountainous shore of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Take a deep breath of salty air, a dive into the boreal forests surrounding Monte Cocuzzo and enjoy breathtaking views at dawn from your apartment and the restaurant of this Albergo Diffuso in Belmonte Calabro. The welcoming warmth of our hosts, the local kitchen treats, a pasta & pizza cooking lesson as well as the local wines and spirits available at EcoBelmonte made this an unforgettable vacation for our family.

Could not recommend this place more!! We stayed back in the summer and had the most perfect short stay. The home cooked meals are delicious and authentic. We joined the pasta making course which was such fun with other guests. The hosts are incredible and make you feel so welcome! I couldn't speak any higher of our entire experience! If you get the chance to visit Calabria, make sure you include EcoBelmonte on your itinerary- a must visit in the most stunning region of Italy.

Unforgettable experience. From the first 5 minutes when we arrived in the small square with light background music where Gabriella welcomed us with a warm "welcome". We spent two days in the U Canalu house, furnished with meticulous attention to detail with a small balcony that frames the sea between the mountain reliefs. We then saw that all the houses are arranged with the same touch respectful of traditions and full of colours. We also appreciated the cuisine of the excellent cook Anna which is served on a terrace surrounded by caper plants and flowers. We tried a fish dinner and a meat dinner. Both delicious: pasta with anchovies, grilled calamari, pasta with pumpkin and sausage, stewed meat with must and carefully chosen appetizers. We will recommend this absolutely unique structure to everyone.

An enchantment. A jump into the past. Ideal for relaxing. The owners are very friendly and extremely helpful. Evenings with only the singing of crickets and starry skies. Unforgettable. the apartment is large and suggestive. The sea a stone's throw away.
