The first thing is that the construction on I35 makes getting into this hotel difficult. It's bad enough during the day but God help you (me) if you arrive at night. You have to go through all kinds of back roads to get there and it's sketchy and stressful if you aren't familiar with the area. My room smelled musty and damp. I cranked down the A/C which helped. The room is large and the bed/linens are okay, BUT. There is not a single USB port in the whole room. Cigarette burns on sofa cushions. Light bulb in vanity area out. Make-up mirror was greasy and nearly fell off the wall when I touched it. Bottom drawer of chest wouldn't open at all and the middle drawer bottom was bowed and broken. Rusty metal throughout, no turntable in microwave= useless. Grout in bathroom was filthy. Good things: Carpet seemed new, room was large, two windows, nice front desk guy, ice machine worked. Good water pressure and plenty of pillows.

I liked this motel. Excellent price point, decent mattress, good pillows that were plentiful—I asked and received 2 more during my stay, and pretty quiet. It doesn’t have the amenities of a $300 + a night hotel room and that’s okay, because I am only interested in a decent place to stay for the night. The Indian family who runs this hotel is lovely and hard working. They made my stay all the better. Very kind people. When I travel I stop by Target for cheap pillows bc usually the pillows aren’t very good in lower price point hotels but in this case their pillows were actually awesome and I didn’t need the ones we bought. I left the bought pillows in the room and I got a call from the management letting me know I forgot my items. Now in this day and age who does that??! The nice people who run this hotel do that. Thank you!!!

I have more than a room complaint to mention here. There were failures ALL around!! I waited an hour for the chat with the hotel before I was responded to. When we did arrive, no one was there for at least 5 minutes waiting up front. How am I supposed to know where the telephone is when it's not at the front desk to call someone??? We get in our room it smelled! The bedroom smelled like urine. I’m guessing due to the guests prior to us had a pet in there. Which, I gathered due to the pet tag left in the room that was on the hat rack in the kitchen. Under the kitchen cabinet smelled like something died in there. Which we didn’t notice until we had to open the cabinet to throw something away in there. Luckily, I always bring Lysol with me, and I was spraying everything down including the carpet. When I got up in the night to go to the restroom and get a drink is when it became noticeable that the room was infested with roaches. They were hiding since it was still light out and there were lights on in the room when we arrived. Once the lights went off and it was dark, they were out!! Thank goodness, we didn’t have any open food and everything we brought was in containers and/or bags, so nothing could get in it. There was no hair dryer to use which all the rooms are supposed to have one. There wasn’t a sponge/kitchen rag to clean my dishes with. We tried to use the dishes there and they were filthy!!! REALLY??? Dead bugs on them and dried food! They were actually put up in the cabinet this way with dried food!! GROSS!!! What are the cleaning people doing?? NOTHING???One of the nightstands even had a broken drawer on it. My son pulled it out to put something in it and it wouldn't go back in. I had to take it completely out and set it beside the nightstand, so that we didn't hit ourselves on it. The toilet paper holder was also broken and stayed upside down. Saturday my husband went to get disposable plates and ask for a sponge. The guy at the front desk didn't apologize for ANYTHING and told him to find a cleaning lady for a rag for the kitchen. Are you actually kidding me??? THIS IS YOUR SERVICE AND STANDARDS????? When we went to the pool, it's a good thing I came prepared as there were no towels in sight for it. I WANT MY POINTS BACK!!! I do not feel like anyone should be charged for this type of stay. They should be PAID to stay here. I expect someone to call me back and confirm my points will be reimbursed to me and actually apologize for this disgusting room they had us in. If I don't receive someone contacting me back, I will post all the pictures I took on Yelp, Google, and Marriott's site as well. I did receive a call from a manager “Corey”, but not the General Manager. He said he is the person my husband spoke to and admitted he could have handled it better…. YES, HE COULD HAVE!!! My husband said he didn’t receive an apology for anything, and I believe my husband over a stranger. The manager was surprised that I was actually as calm as I was
