A great location, beautiful views, great staff. Our room had a balcony with a view of all three castles, especially beautiful at night.We were very fortunate to find this. We found this hotel after cancelling our reservation at Hotel Internazionale .

Great little hotel on our roadtrip from Nice to Denmark. The staff was nice and quick to check us in and was very kind to suggest places to see and go during our short stay. Room was perfect for our family and had a great view of the Castle in the distance. Only downer of the stay was the aircondition not functioning. We could hear it being turned on, but the room was boiling all night. But other than that a great stay, that also offered gluten-free bread in the breakfast restaurant, amazing.

This hotel and the Internazionale Hotel and Spa treated me poorly and I ultimately left Bellinzona early because of the outright prejudice and snobbishness if the Swiss people in this city. Hotel Unione has nobody working at night so if you don’t have your key you are locked out. Internazionale lost my reservation and told me it was my fault even when I showed them my reservation. I left and went to the Hotel Unione and everything was fine until I got locked out and the Owner accused me of a “big problem” because the front door was supposedly broken and nobody could leave the hotel in the morning which is a total lie since the hotel has multiple doors. Very mean and aggressive management, just watch how they respond to my review!

Spent two non consecutive nights here, and have stayed on other occasions. Good comfortable family-run hotel ideally located near the historic centre of Bellinzona. There is a lift. The rooms have air conditioning and balconies. Some rooms have stunning views of the famous three castles which are close to the hotel.Very good restaurant serving Italian cuisine, with a decent wine list. They happily produced a fine meal when we arrived after 9 pm . There is a garden at the front where food and drink are served in good weather. Decent breakfast. Large (paying) car park nearby A good choice for stopping over or visiting the sights.

We went to eat the saddle of venison at Baden Baden. The side dishes weren't bad, especially the mushrooms and Spätzle. Unfortunately, you had to look for the meat with a magnifying glass. Three slices for the first course and three slices for the second course (in my opinion the total was less than 50g) on the other hand I found 7 Brussels sprouts on the plate. Furthermore, the meat was decidedly overcooked and accompanied by a sauce which, according to my point of view (but I could be wrong) was made with coop sachets. At the end of the meal I was full but because there were plenty of side dishes... definitely too many. The feeling is precisely that they have compensated for the lack of meat with side dishes. In short, when I left the restaurant I wasn't satisfied at all and this hasn't happened to me for years. Paying 64 francs (which in itself would also be a fair price) to indulge in side dishes is not exactly what you expect. However, the staff was very kind and hospitable.

Practical hotel in Bellinzona, in the center near the castles and the station reachable both by car and bus. Clean and tidy rooms, with excellent and varied breakfast service. Availability of excellent reception staff.

We spent 5 wonderful days there. Ideal location, very pleasant rooms, delicious cuisine and above all warm, welcoming and smiling staff, incredibly kind. The small garden is very pleasant for having breakfast or a drink.

Unfriendly at reception, you have to wait to check in. Dirty bed linen, broken remote control, old TV. Windows very noisy. Everything is getting old. First and last time I was there, luckily for business.
