It was a good stay overall. My only negative feedback was loud construction noise that occurred from 8 am to 5 pm daily due to the building renovations and expansions.

Stayed overnight as too late to catch ferry or Tropic Air to San Pedro. Although further from BZE it had a rooftop restaurant and a convenience store. Very close to Water Taxi. Restaurant was very good and didn’t have to go looking for dinner first night in Belize. Definitely a good choice.

Very modern property, with a mall near the entrance hall (where you can buy souvenirs, drinks, snacks for honest prices) and a restaurant with a great view (the food isn't the best in the restaurant, but it is great for drinks with a nice view).

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Golden Bay Hotel. The room I stayed in was beautifully furnished, roomy, and clean. All of my meals at Vino Tinto were amazing - and I ate there for breakfast, lunch, and supper meals. The area is walkable to the Baron Bliss Lighthouse, Belize sign, swing bridge, Belize Museum, and Digi Park. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful - I was able to book a ride to the airport directly from the hotel, which was helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

My Husband and I stayed there for one night. We hid his IPad under our bed when we went to dinner. Just in case, and we wanted to be safe since our safe in our room did not work. We forgot the iPad under the mattress. We called and talked to staff and they told us it was not there. THERE IS LOCATION SERVICES ON APPLE. It was pinging that it was still in the room. They told us IPad is not there. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. If you want an honest place, go somewhere else. It was very disappointing that they were lying to us.

This place is worth every penny that you pay for the rooms are spectacular. The restaurant the roof who wants to Construction gets finished it’s going to be perfect.

The hotel transportation was very nice. Kevin picked us up and was very friendly and informative.
There was a safe in the room, however it was just sitting on a shelf in the closet. It was not secured to the shelf and was locked shut.
The restaurant was nice, clean, good food and the service was great. Holdane was our waiter for 2 meals and was exceptional. He steered us to Scoops Ice Cream which was a 5 minute walk.

It was a nice place to stay for a night before heading out to the islands. My only gripe is that we messaged the hotel to ask about an airport shuttle. We never heard anything back about it. After we landed, we found the shuttle van that was there to pick up another couple. We were then charged $30 for the shuttle, but since we had not heard anything from the hotel beforehand, this was a surprise charge. Not stoked about it.
