The hotel looked quaint on the outside . Now we arrived with 2 small dogs an extra charge but the staff welcomed them. The room was at the front and to be fair it does need some tlc but they have tried and though a few faults they were rectified quickly. As for the stay we enjoyed a relaxed evening after a 6 hr drive. The bar was cosy and the dogs again made welcome which at first we was not sure and planned to stay in the room until the young girl said we would be welcomed. There should have been a band on but sadly did not turn up but she put some music and and that did the trick as you could tell she was disappointed. As for stopping here we would definitely say yes.

I have just returned from the Blue Bell after a New Years stay and couldn’t rate it high enough. The staff are absolutely wonderful and go above and beyond to welcome you and make your stay a comfortable one. The room was huge and very clean and the breakfast was fantastic. The atmosphere in the bar was great when local musicians came to play music and sing. There was parking right outside the hotel and it is close to all amenities in the village as well as being a short drive from beautiful Bamburgh, I was involved in an incident through the night on New Year’s Eve and the staff were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to help all involved, I can’t thank them enough. I’ve never received hospitality like it anywhere else I have stayed. Thank you again to all of the lovely staff and I wish you the very best with your new venture.

What a fabulous hotel, stayed here for newyears Eve to enjoy the local festivities and we had the best time. The Owner Harvey give us a warm friendly welcome on arrival, quickly checked in, room was spotlessly clean. The buffet that was offered was outstanding, especially the steak pie, not your basic offerings, very good value for money, the fabulous dj kept us all entertained young and old, can't wait for him to return and do a regular spot, all the staff worked there socks off and it was definitely service with a smile, including Harvey's parents, thank you all for making our stay and new years eve an amazing time, can't wait to come back and try the Sunday roast I've heard they are delicious

We received the warmest of welcomes from the lovely family that are running this hotel. Recently moved into the village and went for Sunday lunch after a glorious walk at Holy Island. The food was fab. Tasty, flavoursome, good portions in front of a a roaring fire it was utter bliss. Can’t wait to visit again.

We ate here for the first time since the kitchen reopened and food was being served again. Bearing in mind that all the staff are trying so hard to get this beautiful building up and running again to make it a lovely place to go for residents and visitors alike. Our experience of a family of six, including a three year old, was outstanding. The Sunday roast dinner was absolutely lovely and I have to say the roast potatoes were the best I think I have ever eaten. Plenty on our plates and even supplied a small plate for our three year old member followed by a small bowl of ice cream. Nothing was too much trouble for them, never ending jugs of gravy, sauces and whatever you needed. I hope the people of Belford give this hotel another chance under the management of Harvey and his parents. They are doing their best to make it fabulous again and it’s a lovely way to spend an evening. Would definitely recommend!
