We had the misfortune of staying at the Vagabonds Hostel in Belfast for a school field trip. Firstly, we were not informed that there would be a deposit to be made individually and in cash. Secondly, the 14 room we were given is not the one shown in the online photos on various sites. It is a damp room with mold in which the emergency exit is blocked by a bed. Also, the host had asked us not to use one of the two common areas since we were a group of 20 and he wanted to leave it to the other guests. We quickly realized that the other guests were his own friends who use the common areas more than the customers. We did not feel invited to stay. I do not recommend this hostel.

decent lil place. nice staff, clean place, free simple breakfast (which I never woke up in time for), pretty laid back, small lockers to secure valuables otherwise bags under bed. Decent area, botanical gardens and river south and city centre further up. Everything in walking distance but belfast might just be small.

Excellent place to stay for a few nights in Belfast. It's close to a lot of great spots, and not far at all to to the city center. I had a great time chatting with staff and other guests / new friends. This is incredibly close to the Botanical Gardens which are a perfect spot for a morning stroll, and you're not far at all from the Empire Music Hall.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms. The bathrooms were the largest I’ve ever seen in a hostel, plenty of room to change and get ready for the day. Staff was friendly and the common areas were nice. The lockers are small (about a small-medium backpack size); other bags can go under or by the beds.

A great back packers, which is also easy enough to walk to from the city entre. Its location in the university area is good to be in, with a pleasant feel, lovely botanical gardens and lots of places to eat. The the hop on and off city tour bus goes past, which makes it easy to get around to all the major sites. I stayed in my own room, which had a really comfy bed and pillows. It was all really nice. Also, the kitchen has everything you need and there’s a free breakfast. Nice people and a nice place, I recommend for people who enjoy backpacking.

This was my first stay in a hostel and I had a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a great welcoming atmosphere and I witnessed all ages and walks of life staying which just added to the inclusive vibe. Would definitely return!

Home from home. Another pleasant surprise! On arrival I found the check in a bit annoying. Show me my room, the facilities, give me the WIfi and leave me be. There were many pointless rules; everyone knows common sense stuff and the drawn out process of being “shown round” was tedious. Now for the positives the hostel is close the local travel, bars and restaurants. The staff and kind, friendly and not over the top. The room was nice enough when it comes to hostels. And the bed was made which is a bonus. I would recommend giving nightlights or adding lamps to the bed spaces but that’s my personal preference. I also found the room uncorked a number of times so recommend tightening up the things that close doors completely. Added bonus of breakfast which wasn’t advertised. Didn’t consumed this myself but it looked good and the smell of toast is enough to get anyone. It really did feel like being at home with access to a common room. This included comfy sofas AND access to a TV with Disney+ Netflix and Prime. Really felt at home. Staff laid back but helpful and when I return to Belfast it’ll be considered as an option to sleep. Thanks a great stay!

Cosiest and most welcoming hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff are brilliant, particularly Will and Charlie, who got everyone together and showed us the city. Other perks include the free breakfast, coffee and tea, and the inviting common area with comfy couches.
