Excellent country site hotel with great service. The restaurant is very good with enough options. Rooms are specials and well equipped. The location is a bid away from big cities but as it is a chateau, this is actually good as no business guest take this hotel.

The hotel is beyond expectations. Hidden in an amazing location! It is an excellent accommodation, with many activities to keep you busy without needing to get out of the hotel grounds! The rooms are very big, suitable for families, thought through every little detail. The decoration has its own history all around the hotel. There are activities for children (through kids club) throughout the grounds with many animals, farm, tennis courts, swimming pool and wellness centre. There is restaurant on site with excellent cuisine and the breakfast is excellent too, with many options. The staff is very professional, helpful and experienced. The hotel was full and despite that, it felt like we were alone - very quiet! We found the hotel by coincidence due to overbooking in other areas around, but we will definitely visit again - amazing experience!

Yes, it’s a beautiful building, but its star rating is way off the mark. Positives: Lovely, old building in attractive grounds. Negatives: In the middle of nowhere with only a small co-op supermarket near by. Food was below average, at best. Expensive. No room service. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. You have to pay for every cup of tea/coffee you want. If you don’t have a walk in shower in your room, taking a shower in the bath is lethal. No anti slip mats and steep step into bath. If you want to play pool you have to hire the room by the hour. Spa treatments very limited. Bar area smells stale and of smoke, all the time. In short, spend your hard-earned cash somewhere where everything is much better than this. It isn’t value for money. At all.

The building is really interesting inside, worth to see it. We was only at the restaurant and drink coffee, because they have no food, nor desserts (we want try some dessert and coffee). The coffee was fine, but nothing extra and my milk was really interesting inside - like sour cream. The staff was beautiful.

My fiancee and I plan to book Chateau Bela for wedding in August 2022 and she initiated contact with the events manager Katarína Dubecová last week to enquire on the package and pricing. She specifically told her that she wants the book the bigger Orangerie Hall even though we have only around 40 guests. She gave her all the pricing but she said she would need to check on the availability of the Orangerie Hall. During the last two days, my fiancee sent her a WhatsApp message again to ask if she has checked but she did not reply. So, I decided to write to the GM, Jürgen Gruber instead this morning to ask if the date was available since she did not reply. She called my fiancee suddenly today to scold her over the email sent. She threatened her and said you will never have a wedding here. She was extremely rude merely because an email was sent to the GM. Worst still, the GM never apologised or replied to my email and instead, Katarina saw the message I sent to the GM which she screenshot and claimed that 'we are very good team together'. We were shocked over how rude she is and we do not advise anyone to organise any wedding there as we believe the standard has dropped so much since COVID-19. We feel sorry for the owner, Ilona Von Krockow who decided to leave such a beautiful chateau to an incompetent team.

The accommodation is spectacular with spacious and comfortable rooms. The restaurant service is simply excellent with a menu to delight the best palate. The only problem is that there is nothing else around it, it is in the countryside isolated from everything.

Still room for improvement... After another 2 years we tried again and stayed here for a long weekend. Unfortunately it was the hottest day of the year with up to 36 degrees. That meant that it was wonderful by the pool, but in the hot room with 29 degrees without air conditioning at night it was almost unbearable. There was a fan that you could use to blow the hot air in circles, but it was useless and very loud. We think that if the rooms are not upgraded soon (e.g. air conditioning, shutters, etc.) then in the future it will be unbearable in the rooms in summer with the increasing heat. We noticed that since our last visit some items in the common area had disappeared and unfortunately there were obviously no pictures on the wall in the room. Breakfast was OK, even if the dishes were still almost snatched out of your hands before you had even finished. The dinner with our half board was good (buffet), although some of the dishes in the rechauds were sometimes dried out. Under certain circumstances we would perhaps come back here.

The facility was great, as were the rooms and the ambience. Nothing was missing. Only the food was miserable. Too little and mediocre taste. The bar was very good, drinks, cocktails of the finest quality and closed on Mondays without notice. The rooms were very clean and large
