Nice facilities, great & friendly service. Probably the best hotel food I’ve ever had on my travels. All in all a great place I would not hesitate to visit again

Very nice beach with water sports, sandy beach without stones, shallow entry good for children, tree pools, child’s club, tennis courts, all in one place..very good food at main and a la carte restaurants many choices available, bars need to work on their cocktails it could be better, standard room furniture needs to be renewed very old, no hangers outside of the room to to dry your clothes and swimwears, workers are generally kind and helpful,

1. A resort with good overall value for money. It is relatively close to Dolphin Bay and the hotel beach is also very long. It is recommended to book an all-inclusive package as it is more cost-effective! Second stay 2. I’m not very used to eating. I basically eat steak and fruit every meal, but there are quite a lot of varieties for breakfast and buffet lunch and dinner. You need to make a reservation for dinner at PLAYA one day in advance. The amount of French food will be relatively small, and there are one or two staple foods that are not available. The number of French restaurants to choose from is relatively small. 3. The service speed in Africa is relatively slow. I had to ask for napkins two or three times to get them. Some lights were out of power and it took a long time to repair them. On the last night, the air conditioner was broken and I could only turn on the fan to blow my cold.

Except for the lack of enthusiasm in sending water and changing towels, everything else is good.

Among the three hotels Maoqiu stayed in, Tamasa had the worst experience, of course it was only a relative comparison. First of all, we booked a beach room closest to the sea. The price is more expensive than other room types. Ctrip pictures gave us a room on the first floor, but we actually gave us a room on the second floor. Because of the good view, we didn't ask for a change. The hotel room is very small, and the decoration style and facilities are very similar to dormitories. We called the front desk many times to ask for a toothbrush but it was not delivered. We had no choice but to drive to the supermarket outside to buy it. I thought Tamasa was a resort with a lot of activities and activities, but it was not. Except for the bubble bath with children in the swimming pool when we first arrived, it was very quiet during the 4 days we stayed. The service is very average, my husband even got angry with the waiter at the restaurant by the sea, so my husband has been complaining about this hotel. The sea of the hotel is a large piece of coral reef. My husband was accidentally stung by a soft coral while swimming and injured his leg. The doctor in the hotel infirmary was very kind and helped us deal with it in time.

Property is just ok, used to be great one but not anymore. Maintenance work required all around the property. Ants and lizards were in the room, proper pest control is needed to take care of this. Entertainment was good. Hotel staffs pretty helpful and pleasant. At breakfast a variety is needed, most of the days they had the same food every morning.

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing break at Tamassa. From the moment we arrived we were amazed with the wonderful service and amazing facilities at Tamassa. We visited the lovely peaceful spa with sauna and steam room every other day, we went on the included snorkleing (3 times) and glass bottom boat even spotting a turtle one day. The beach was beautiful and everything so close. The room was lovely and comfortable. We spent most of our days in the pool, spa, playing table tennis or chess. The food was lovely with loads of choice. Service was great, and staff so friendly, can't fault anything. We never thought we'd be the type to like a resort holiday but this has converted us! We've come back feeling completely refreshed and recharged. Thank you Tamassa 🙂

Like most of the hotels I went in Mauritius Tamassa hotel is old and not really maintained. The desk wasn’t study, there were cobwebs in one corner. The service in the restaurant was good but too much on us and we couldn't get up to get more food as they cleaned the table.

Spent 13 days here with my girlfriend in late January to early February, which isn’t really the optimal season here on Mauritius. We went through just about the end of a cyclone our first day and another one about 5 days after, which at some points made trips, sunbathing and bathing etc not possible. Despite some bad weather we managed to get sunlight too. Just know that during these times the weather is unpredictable. The cleaning of our rooms isn’t really the greatest I’ve experienced, in fact it’s one of the worst. To begin with i was clumsy enough to break a bottle in our room and asked the cleaning service to sweep the floors and help us pick it up. They did it with no effort as there was still glas on the floor. Accidentally it happend again (all the water provided in the rooms are in glass bottles) and the same this time. I picked up some of it myself as I didn’t want to be a bothering guest. Secondly there’s quite some mold in the showers and our bathroom had a constant smell of sewage/feces. I never asked to change room for this even though thinking back on it, we probably should have complained. I’ve been to Mauritius 3 times and never experienced mosquitos like this before. The rooms are provided with a electric mosquito deterrent but in our opinion it doesn’t work. Me and my girlfriend swatted the room always before bed to reduce the risk of getting bitten. We also experienced several times geckos in our room. The restaurant at the beach isn’t worth it. 6/10

Amazing view, rooms are clean, AC works well. What stood out to me was the amazing customer service these people have. Mauritians are very respectful individuals. They didnt have rooms available for late checkout but they have a lounge where people could wait. Services are still available until you leave even if you check out early and stay at the resort while waiting for time to go to the airport. I loved my stay at Tamassa and would recommend!

Location and facilities are great, however, the staff in both reception, restaurant and bar is rude, do not speak english and directly harass the guests. We had a very unfortunate experience 3 days in a row with unpleasent treatment by the staff
