Large modern hotel, but difficult to access due to the numerous potholes in the adjacent avenues. We stayed there twice, two nights before our excursion to the Gorongosa National Park and one night on our return. Our first experience was not convincing. We arrived at midnight due to numerous delays of our LAM flight. The staff on duty could not find our reservation. After some 20 minutes, he gave us a magnetic key that did not open the door of the room. He later gave us another key to a room which was not configured for 2 travelers. The beds were made but there was only one towel, one glass, one small coffee bag, 3 hangers,.... also, the safe didn't work. And that day, due to a rather poor wifi system, we had to stay longer in the room to finish our work. We consequently had to ask the cleaning service to come back an hour later to let us finish. Which they didn't do. The room was therefore not made that day. Breakfast was served buffet style. Very correct but the reception staff on duty in the restaurant were unfriendly. When we left, I was asked to fill out an evaluation form related to our stay. I honestly described our experience. On the way to the airport, I received a call from the manager who had read my evaluation and wanted to hear more. On our return, we were particularly well treated, the room had been prepared for us and everything was in order. When we left for the second time, we were given us a reduction on the price of the room... The hotel offers a great potential but needs some TLC and the staff some training to better understand their role in the tourism industry.
