Always a good time staying here. Nothing to complain about all positive reviews, friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds and amazing breakfast. I always recommend this hotel to my friends. My recent stay here decided to book the deluxe suites, which are the newly renovated suits, I must say they are a bit smaller so maybe not ideal if you are traveling in a group , family or you like your space.

The hotel gave us Christmas candy gift bags on Christmas Day, which were warm and sweet. The room was comfortable and the bathtub had a view. The blue lake and white boats outside the restaurant formed a beautiful landscape. I bring my children here every year, and then walk 7 kilometers on the greenway to the Kempinski Sunrise Hotel opposite, and return after afternoon tea. It is a healthy and happy trip.

This time I went to Yanqi Hotel and had a great experience! I haven't written a review for a long time, but this time it is worth praising the hotel facilities and the service of the staff. Because I was the only one taking my child to swim, the little boy could not follow me into the women's locker room. Li Qiang, the front desk of the health and fitness department, took the initiative to coordinate, and the lifeguard Xiao Ze helped my son change clothes and enter the swimming pool to meet me. It seems to be a small thing, but it makes me feel particularly warm and attentive. In addition, Shirley at the front desk was very patient and introduced the hotel facilities in detail when checking in. It happened to be the Yanqi Lake Intangible Cultural Heritage Temple Fair, and many check-in points were super photogenic. The hotel environment is good, the room is large, and the children's playground is very fun. The children stayed there for two or three hours. By the way, the hotel's travel photography service is also great. The photographer Xiaochi is very professional, with first-class photography skills and good angles. He can shoot straight out of the film at any time, helping my mother record many beautiful moments. She is very happy. When the weather is good, we will come again next time!

Impressive looking building from the outside but a really slow check in. They had 4-5 staff members yet everything took longer than I’d expect. The room was basic and, for the price, underwhelming. In addition, the walls are marked and scuffed. One part of the wall had food stains. The carpet is stained. When we went to go to bed we found the linen was dirty. There were stains on both the duvet and the bed sheet! We called down for reception and they said sorry then sent a maid to change the duvet. I felt like good customer service would include at least having someone from customer service/reception come to check on us and the room, or calling us to check, or making a note to ask at check out. No follow up. Apart from this the room is a good size and felt spacious with a desk, sofa and large double bed. The bathroom also had 2 sinks and ample space for your things. The cupboards were also large with lots of hangers etc. There is a full ironing board. I was disappointed for the price (over ¥2000 a night) that even their basic rooms don’t have a coffee machine (like Nespresso etc). This seems to be standard in most hotels at this price range these days. Just instant coffee. As part of the price, the hotel included “free mini bar” which was just 1 can of coke, sprite and Fanta. All full sugar, no zero/diet. Only one side of the bed has plug socks for charging. Otherwise, there is a socket under the desk. The slippers constantly stuck to the tiled floor area which meant squeaky/sticky sounds as you walk around. I’m not sure if it was just the slippers or the floor coating but it was pretty irritating. The breakfast was good with a range of choices including pancakes, waffles, different types of bread, omelette/egg station, noodles, porridge etc as well as fried vegetables, salad, fruit and sausages etc. Lots of coffee machines dotted around the canteen. Location good if you want to go to the lake area and surrounds. There isn’t much walkable so to really take advantage you need a car , either a Didi or your own. You can rent bikes but anyone serious brings their own and cycles round the area. There are local restaurants about 1-2k away which is walkable. We had some ok local food for a good price. Disappointed not to find a modern cafe anywhere nearby, including the hotel. The coffee in the hotel was only the push button kind, like at breakfast buffets. No real cafe. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel and wouldn’t go back.
