Jinglun Hotel

Guomao Area
I rented 2 rooms one for me and my wife and one for my niece and mother and law. Sadly they are doing construction work and remodeling it (that wasn’t mentioned when booking). A queen on the 8th floor. Very very dated. Worst bathroom of all the hotels I’ve been to in china. Probably last updated in the 90s. Very very small 40 inch tv I didn’t bother turning on…. Pillows weren’t very comfortable but bed was ok. 2nd room on the 4 floor had 2 twin beds. This one was slightly more updated. Had usb jacks to charge your phones and a much bigger tv. Overall a much nicer room. Very over priced for what is offered. Pretty bad soap, shampoo for a 4 star hotel that was over $100 per room. I stayed at a James Joyce for $30 that I couldn’t tell much of a difference. Think breakfast was 58 rnb per person. I’ve gone to really nice places got a whole fish, Peking duck and 4 other things for 250-300 rnb. So passed on the breakfast….. The location is super central to a lot of places you’d want to see but the subway and buses are great in china and taxis are super cheap. Stay at a nicer place unless this is way way cheaper a night

Qianmen, The Temple Of Heaven and Chongwenmen
We arrived very early in the morning (06:00 - flight) and that was clearly not foreseen (Trip.com does not foresee the possibility to inform the hotel by mail, only by phone, but there is a language barrier). So we had to wait 3 hours before we could check in. Quite tiresome. But at check in the people were very friendly, so ok after all. They also helped us to buy a local SIM card. The room is quite big and nice with a nice and clean bathroom. Breakfast is good with a big choice of local and European food. The people in the restaurant are friendly and helpful. The hotel is not too far from the subway which is very interesting to visit the different places in Beijing.

Qianmen, The Temple Of Heaven and Chongwenmen
Very very convenient location. Just 10m away from subway station. To improve cleaniness as there are chips found on the luggage hanger when we enter. The hotel may look very old, but all the amenities works fine. Very recommended place.
Beijing Xuanwumen Business Hotel
4.5/51628 Reviews
Xidan and Financial Street Area
This is my second stay this year. It's very convenient as it's next to Xuanwumen Station. It's small for a Chinese hotel, but the size is comparable to a Japanese business hotel. What makes it different from other Beijing hotels is that the lighting in the room is bright and nice! Last time, I had a room where I could only see the neighboring building, but this time, the view of the church in front was good! I like the shampoo that is replenished in the room every day because it smells good (rare for China). I get my toothbrush and comb from the elevator hall myself. The towels are also clean. The shower has a weak water pressure and there is no bathtub, so it may feel quite cold in winter. I was surprised to see a robot (delivered to the room) riding alone in the elevator! I'm just staying overnight, so I think I'll use this again for convenience depending on the price.

Xiang Mountain, Badachu Scenic Spot
I admire Mr. Pei's achievements, so I took my children to climb Xiangshan Mountain and stayed at Xiangshan Hotel. It feels like the design style of Suzhou gardens, which is similar to Suzhou Museum. The front desk and room service are very good. When I needed children's products and tableware, the room attendants responded quickly and had a warm service attitude. The stay experience was very good! Xiangshan in winter has a special flavor, with gurgling streams in the mountains, waves of pine trees, and cultural attractions that are also worth seeing. I will come again next time if I have the chance.
Exhibition Centre Hotel
4.6/5527 Reviews
Xizhimen and Beijing Exhibition Center Area
It is very close to the Beijing Exhibition Center, just a few steps away. It is very convenient to stay here when there are activities. Although the hotel is not newly renovated, the scenery is very good. The front desk selected the south room for me, which has good sunlight. The only problem is that when I checked in, they told me that the takeaway could not be delivered to the floor and I had to get it myself, but the next morning I heard someone on the same floor knocking on the door and saying ”your takeaway has arrived”. I don't know what happened. If they could help deliver it to the room, why didn't they deliver it to me?
