Guantong Modern Hotel (Beijing Qianmen)

The name is hotel, but it is actually a guesthouse. The room number is directly marked on the room card with a sticky note. The room environment is really bad, see the picture, and the front desk staff has a bad attitude. When I called to ask for an extra quilt, they asked me: Isn't there air conditioning? The only advantage is that it is close to Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, Qianmen Street and several other attractions.

I stayed here a few years ago. The location is very good. There is a subway station and bus station at the door. The hotel is just opposite the Qianmen Pedestrian Street, so it is very convenient to order takeout. Now the road at the entrance of the central axis has been renovated, and ginkgo trees are planted on both sides of the road. The hotel facilities are well maintained, but the walls are yellowed and look a bit dirty. The room service is basically clean. The smaller rooms on one side have city views along the road, and the larger rooms on the other side are also a bit close to the building opposite. The steps in the bathroom are quite high, so be careful when entering and exiting. The shower water is quite large. In general, I felt that this price was very cost-effective when I booked it.
